Vanessa’s eyes lit up. “Oh, that’s great! Many of the ships in the fleet have recreational areas that include stage setups. What kinds of performances have you done, what shows?” she asked him, intrigued. She had not known any other cadets to be an actor.

Jordy replied. ‘I mostly do comedy shows that is what i like the most’.

OOC: Above, I have snipped some of our conversation to make the post less long. It’s easy to do - delete anything that isn’t necessary to where we are in the post thread, and replace it with <snip> (or something similar) so that people know something was removed. This wa, the posts aren’t too long, but we keep in anything that is necessary for context. Just how much to delete can be tricky, and is something that comes with time. In a two-person, back-and-forth conversation like we’re having, I find keeping the last three posts is good. With more people, keeping at least the last reply from each character is usually a good guideline.
IC: “Ooh,” she said, smiling, “that’s fun! We may need to get you to help stage a performance here if we can find the time.” She took a deep sip of her chocolate.
“That probably means you have worked with others on plays or other performances before then,” she continued. “How well do you fit in with others? Is there a particular role you find yourself taking on when working in groups?”

Vanessa shrugged with a smile. “In either situation. Any time you work with other people, is there a particular role you find yourself taking when working within a team?”

She shifted a little on the sofa, tucking one leg beneath her and then sipping her cocoa. It was often difficult for people to self-analyze with this question, so she would try a different tactic. “When you have worked in groups in the past, would you say you’ve taken a leadership, support, or worker role?” she asked him, watching his reactions to gauge interest and other cues. “And can you give me some examples of that?”

‘It depands on the situation which role i take can you make a exaample maybe i can awnser that’. Jordy replied.

She smiled, setting down her hot chocolate on the side table. “Sure. Let’s say you’re assigned to a group of three to provide extra security to an ambassadorial suite. A leadership response would be to delegate one of the others to retrieve weapons necessary for the assignment while the other two go guard the quarters and wait. A support response will be to offer to go get the weapons without being ordered to do so. A worker response is to await orders. None is better or worse than the others,” she pointed out. “All are needed for the functioning of a working team. What would your response be?”

“So, tell me a little about yourself,” she continued. “Do you have any family?”
