Looking up Alison gave the XO a funny look. Did she actually hear him talk about transporting a shuttle? Because that would be a crazy idea. Why wouldn’t they just fly the shuttle in instead?

Shaking her head, Alison went back to her review of the scan data, trying to locate that elusive comm satellite. Hopefully it would give them some good information, maybe even something that hadn’t been sent on to HQ yet.

Lt Barr - CSO

=^= Stadi to Lt. Barr, I’m noting some interference that’s stopping us from getting better readings. It doesn’t seem to match what you would get from the damage we’re seeing on the ground, at least not the likely causes. But that’s all I can get from down here in Engineering, maybe you’ll have better luck.”

-Lt jg Dael Stadi, CE (cross-post)

=^= Hmmm. It’s probably the same inteference that we are seeing with the transporters. I’ll see if we might be able to clean up the signal. =^=

Vanessa adjusted her bun shortly before the doors swished open to the bridge. She slipped out, PADD in one hand, containing a list of the colony’s population, where she’d begun dividing them into quarters, keeping family groups together and extended families close where possible. She’d reviewed psychological profiles to familiarize herself with any potential problem colonists, but for now, she leaned against the wall of the bridge to see what would happen next. She expected she would either be present in one of the transporter rooms to greet them as they arrived, or awaiting the arrival of shuttles in one of the bays.

Lt. Cmdr. Lofton - CNS

Based on the information that seemed to be streaming onto the Bridge, Emmy turned to Holmman.

“Assemble a small away team, Commander, with the intent of starting the evacuation process with enhancers. Predominantly security, maybe one medical cadet,” she instructed. “Let’s get down there as fast as possible.” She chewed on her lip briefly and then ordered, having processed the information about the warp signature, “red alert. Only lower shields for the shuttle to exit.”

“Incoming communication!” The cadet at comms interrupted then piped in the intermittent audio. =/\=Schk… hello… skhh… I hope you’re… orbit… help… beam us out… only 50 souls left… hurry!=/\=

“The signal is severely disrupted but I’ve got a coordinate Captain!” The cadet at the science console said in a rush. “I’m picking up a large mass of bio signs around their location. I cannot determine what the bio signs are though.”

GM Madness

“I’m trying to see if I can clean up the sensor feed,” Alison said as she tried cleaning up the interference they were seeing.

Lt Barr - CSO

At the garbled message, Emmy sprung into action as she neatly slapped the comm badge affixed to her picture-perfect uniform.

=/\= Davis to Sickbay, Stadi, and Rodier. We are receiving a garbled transmission that there are only 50 colonists remaining. We are attempting a transporter lock now and, if possible, we will beam them directly to Cargo Bay 1. We can’t differentiate the life signs, so secure the Cargo Bay, full lockdown, level 10 forcefields. No one in or out until the transport is successful and we can conduct thorough scans of the colonists. =/\=

Turning to the CSO, she briskly enquired, “is a transporter lock possible? I need Lieutenant Stadi on securing the Cargo Bay, so you will have to see what you can do.” The explanation, she felt, was wholly unnecessary, but she was beginning to find that they seemed to make the others feel more at ease when requested to do something that was not entirely in their regular job performance.
