Vanessa smiled at the cadet. “Good. I know it can be difficult to self-evaluate sometimes.” She shifted on the couch again.
“So, tell me a little about yourself,” she continued. “Do you have any family?”

‘yes i have a father a mother and little sister at the age of 4’.

The counselor nodded, reaching over to lift the glass of hot chocolate again. “Tell me a little about your relationship with them. That’s a big gap between you and your sister - she would have been born right around the time you started at the Academy?”

‘Iwas 12 when she was born. I think family is inportant in life so i have a verry good relationship with them.’ Jordy replied and took his last sip at his water

Vanessa grinned. “That’s great,” she said. “I hope you’ll come to think of your fellow crewmates as a sort of extended family when you receive your first posting. You’ll have to rely on them much the same way a family relies on each other.”
“Now,” she said, leaning forward. “What’s one thing about yourself - a skill, a habit, a quality, whatever - that you’d like to improve upon while you’re here aboard the Challenger?”

OOC: That’s okay, I just returned from a long LOA myself.
IC: Vanessa swirled the hot chocolate in her mug, watching the subtle variations in color change from dark browns to lighter, with shades of red intermingling. “Take some time and think about it,” she responded, leaning back and then taking a sip. “What do you want to do in your career? What can we help you improve to get there?” she finished with a smile.
