A sharp pain hit Dael for some reason on his way out of the Jefferies’ Tube. He had just completed a rather tough repair and was looking forward to a nice warm cup of Jestral tea when the wave had hit him. He couldn’t describe it, though it felt like the onset of a migraine, which he desperately hoped wasn’t the case. Opening the Tube’s access hatch to Engineering, he tossed out his toolbox and as he clambered out he heard the commotion on the deck. Turning towards it, he understood the cause of the painful wave that had hit his telepathic senses, and immediately wished the ODN repair had taken up more of his time. That headache was nothing compared to whatever this was going to bring.
“What in the Rings of Betazed are you two doing on my Engineering deck? Stand down this instant!” he bellowed at the two combatants.

Noticing the turbolift doors opening out of the corner of his eye, he turned and noticed the security cadet with phaser in hand. “Cadet,” he said addressing the newcomer, “if you wouldn’t mind breaking this up before I have to…” Dael turned back towards the brawling cadets, his voice rising again, “…because if I do, you all will have wished you had never set foot on my ship!” He was typically a much more reserved individual, but this… this was unacceptable. This wasn’t some Klingon barge or a Human wrestling floor, this was his Engineering deck, his tools that were being used beyond their intended purpose, and his team trying to breach each other’s skulls in. Oh no, the reserved Betazoid was gone and the focus he relied on to solve repairs was now razor focused on ending this.

Turning from the drama unfolding before him, Dael caught the sight of what looked like Cadet Hobbes on the Engineering deck. He nodded his head her way and said “Cadet, set up some restraining fields from the more delicate areas of the ship, like the nearby warp core.” he raised his voice and enunciated the last directed at the combatants. “Hopefully that will prevent this day from getting any worse, especially if that security cadet needs to use that phaser.”

-Lt. jg Dael Stadi, Chief Engineer

‘Break it up!’ Jordy yelled he pulled them away from each other. ‘Why were you two figthing.’ He said very angry.

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

In that moment when Kleine tried to intervene three important things happened all at the same time. First, someone shouted, “Dochvetlh vIneH!” which caused even more cadets and ensigns to get into the fight, and by even more, the entire deck descended into chaos as people just started fighting each other.

Second, Kleine got a haymaker right to the jaw from one particularly light weight ensign who proudly declared, “Hey! I got ‘em!” before bounding off to the next target in the random punch fit.

Third, a tricorder flew right at Stadi’s head. No one saw who threw it, and in fact no one seemed to be aiming at the CE, but in it came, low and slow, right towards his head.

Jordy fell on the ground dropping his phaser on the ground. =^= Kleine to Rodier are you near could use some help.=^= Jordy got up from the ground.

Dael felt the sharp thud of something hitting him in the head, failing to see the tricorder before it was too late. He was too distracted by the chaos that had erupted in his engine room and the killer headache all the strong emotions were causing his telepathic brain. One of these days he’d have a shift that didn’t end in a migraine, one of these days. He looked around at the brawl around him and moved out of the way of a few more wild swings, noticing the security cadet getting up off the floor. Seeing the entire deck involved in this madness had the effect of actually cooling Dael down a bit. One or two crewmembers getting into a brawl, while definitely unwelcome, didn’t strike him as too strange. His entire engineering crew? This had to be something else. Also as he got his head more level, it seemed oddly cold in the engine room once his blood wasn’t that far up. Oh, they better hope this was something else and not some childish brawl. They’ll think a court martial is lucky by the end if it isn’t.

He then tapped his communicator, trying to stay out of the fight as much as possible. He was no slouch if need be, especially if he needed to deal with the original blitzers, but the sheer amount of fists flying meant it safer to duck into an engineering alcove for the moment.

=^= Stadi to Security, you’re definitely going to need more people here in Engineering, we have a full brawl going on. Attempting to secure it as best I can at the moment.=^-=

Out of the turbolift, Henry redoubled his pace. =^= Rodier to Kleine and Engineering, copy. =^=
With a sigh, he realized the other call he had to make. Great impressions on the new Captain.

=^=Stadi to Bridge, a large melee has erupted in Engineering. I’m unaware of the cause but it appears the entire shift crew has suddenly decided to turn my engine room into a Klingon battle room. Currently working with security to try and contain the issue.=^=

After that he looked around hoping to find some Engineering cadet not taken by the sudden need to cave everyone’s skull in around them so he could get a better handle on this situation.

-Lt. jg Dael Stadi, CE

Jordy picked up his phaser from the ground and saw the fight expanding out of engineering he wallked to the chief engineer. ‘Do you have an idea what happend dont think the whole deck is fighting for no reason, maybe some mind-control or virus.

Only moments after Stadi and Kleine had called for backup, the CoS arrived. Unsurprisingly, he stood in shock for a couple of seconds, just taking in the scene unfolding before him. But as soon as he snapped out of it, Henry reached for his commbadge. =^= Rodier to all nonessential Security officers, report to Engineering, condition-red readiness. Lock phasers to stun. =^= The thought of bringing armed officers into an escalating situation wasn’t exactly his best, but as far as the Chief knew he didn’t have the authority to order a room-wide anesthetic. Still…

No. He’d keep that option in mind, but try the conventional response first. So for now, he approached Kleine and Stadi, who would have to handle the situation themselves for the moment.

As Aaron stepped into Main Engineering, he stopped and tried not to groan. He should have grabbed a phaser on his way down. Spotting Lt Rodier, he quickly made his way over.

“Lieutenant. Any ideas of what happened here? This is definitely more your job, but I think we need to end this rather quickly.”

Cmdr. Foley - XO

“Commander, I’ve got no idea. Half the department’s on their way, but I’m not sure more people is the solution here.” Though Henry did always like to keep a phaser with him in case of emergencies, he, too, had left his back in its compartment in his office.

~ Lt. jr. gr. Rodier - CoS

‘Commander,Lieutenant nice to see you two are not fighting,i wonder why they are fighting i think some sort of mind control or virus, if not what is the reason they fight, and why are we not affected.’
