“Right away, sir”, he said. Opening the environmental control window on his terminal, Aaron attempted to reset the environmental control from his console.

Lieutenant JG Aaron Williams - CSO

And they promptly failed to reset. Shortly there after the not at all helpful computer voice chirped, “Environmental controls damaged. Manual override required.”

It looked like someone was going to have to go down there to turn the thing back on.

=^=Stadi to Bridge, a large melee has erupted in Engineering. I’m unaware of the cause but it appears the entire shift crew has suddenly decided to turn my engine room into a Klingon battle room. Currently working with security to try and contain the issue.=^=

-Lt. jg Dael Stadi, CE (cross-post)

A brief but intense series of curses, potentially in Klingon, erupted from the dark-haired Captain. Between the computer’s response to the simple request to change the environmental controls and the message from the CE, it seemed like this was not going to be the calm assignment she had been promised when she accepted the post and the temporary demotion to assume it. Stadi mentioned that he already had Security there assisting, so there was no need to direct them there. She turned to the XO, “get down there, Commander, and find out what’s going on.”

“Aye Captain,” Aaron said, already halfway to the turbolift. He didn’t like the sound of Engineering being called a Klingon battle room…

=/\= Bridge to Sickbay. Get a team to Engineering and prepare for incoming casualties. =/\=

=/\= Understood, Captain. Sickbay out. =/\=

Aaron quickly turns to Captain Jacob, who seems quite upset. “Captain”, he began. “Even though I can’t reset the environmental settings, we might be able to restart it manually by going down to the environmental controls themselves. I’ll go with some cadets with your permission.” The air was freezing around him, and his hands began to numb more as the time passed.

[Lieutenant JG Ven Miya, CMO]

OOC: Too many Aarons to keep track of. :)

“Go,” Katelyn replied simply to the CSO as the XO vanished into the turbo lift. As much as she wanted to join in the fray in Engineering, she knew that it wasn’t appropriate for her to model that behavior now that she was in charge of a ship full of new leaders and new cadets. It was certainly going to be an adjustment.

  • Jacobs, CO

(OOC:” - I am Aaron! -No, I am, you faker !”)
Aaron nodded, and hurry up to the turbo lift. He enters and said: “Environmental control”. As the doors closed, and the turbo lift began to go down, Aaron tapped on his combadge :

=^= Lieutenant Williams to Cadets Little and Avant. I want you to go to environmental controls but wait for me. NE Lane, report to the bridge as Science Officer. =^=

A moment later, the turbo lift opened at the bridge, and a science officer came out. He walks toward his console and turned around to face his Captain. “Enseign Lane at Science Console, Captain”, he said. “I replace Lieutenant Williams, sir.” After that, he sat on his chair, waiting for orders.

(OOC: So excited to be in the main sim!)

Cadet Jethro Avant was entranced in running a retuning and diagnostic on the sensors in Astrometrics Lab 2 on Deck 5. His hands moved quickly over the LCARS screen as he worked. He hadn’t noticed the change in temperature that had suddenly taken hold of the lab. Jethro had tunneled in on his work.

The combadge chime brought him out of his head and the temperature drop drastically became noticeable.

Its freezing in here, when did that happen?

His answer would come in Lieutenant Williams’ following order.

=^=I understand, sir. Leaving Astrometrics, on my way. =^=

Keying out the program on the console, Jethro swiftly left the lab and into the nearest turbo left. “Environmental Controls,” He told the lifts computer and it quickly acceded the desk. When the doors opened, he made his way quickly down the hall. He was hoping to at least to meet the Lieutenant when he arrived outside Environmental Controls.
