Katie quickly reviewed the schematics for the locations of the forcefield projectors in the area of the auxiliary cargo bay and frowned.

“Not good. Not good. There is one in corridor 475-D that is scheduled for maintenance so there will be a gap in the coverage,” Katie said to herself. She took a deep breath and tapped her communicator badge. “=^= Hobbes to security. Be aware that there is a gap in the security forcefield in corridor 475-D. If any of our rioters were to get out of the auxiliary cargo bay and found that gap they would have free access to most of deck 13.”

=/\= Cadet Katherine Hobbes - Engineer

=^= Can you fix it?=^= He tapps on his combadge again. =^= Kleine to NC Turner and NC Lawrence can you two go to corridor 475-D on deck 13,There is a gap in the forcefield there and if anyone who riots gets their they can go on the entire deck.=^= Jordy says to Javal. ‘We cant let anyone of them out of here because there is a gap in the forcefield on corridor 475-D and if they get through there they can go on the entire deck.’

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

“Understood Kleine,” Javal replied. “Make sure the exit is well guarded. We could attempt a quick exfiltration from the area and seal the door behind us in case they get too close.”

As he was talking, he could begin to feel the effects of the artificial gravity’s absence beginning to kick in. His feet began to lift off of the ground and soon he was levitating a few feet off of the deck floor.

“Well, examining the affected crew like this is sure to be an interesting exercise of my medical training,” he said, hovering a bit uncontrollably a few feet off of the ground. “Steady yourself now!”

(OOC: Ready to fly Jordy? :D)

[Cadet Javal - doctor]

Katie shook her head as she reviewed the work-order.

=^= Hobbes to Security. That’s a negative on fixing the forcefield projector remotely. The projector itself has to be replaced and that can only be done on site. I’m reviewing options for a second level of containment but I strongly suggest not letting any of them out of the cargo bay. =^=

Katie furrowed her brow. Were there still some of the rioters in Engineering?

OOC: I am fine with if, but a couple of things to keep in mind here, first don’t give GMs a complication unless you want us to exploit it, meaning you just gave yourself a weak point and it would be well within my realm of possibility to exploit it and give Hobbs and Klein a really bad day. Second, some GMs take umbrage at making things worse.

Just food for thought. Nothing to void here, carry on.

(OOC: Heads up to Cadet Hobbes and our other fine crew, I’m starting a separate thread for the Engineering efforts, that way we help free this post up a little bit from having so many players and gets everyone used to cross-posting as well!)
-Lt. jg Dael Stadi, CE

(OOC: I hope im ready.)

IC: =^= Understood.=^=

‘Never thought i was going to fly in my career!’ He said laughing, Jordy looks at Javal and says ‘Are you examining them alreay.’ =^= Kleine to Rodier we are at the cargo bay flying i got 2 security officers with me in here 2 guarding the enterance and 2 at a forcefield where a gap is in i think Javal is examining the people who riot.=^=

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

=^= Copy, Kleine. Use caution. =^=

~ Lt. jr. gr. Rodier - CoS

“Negative Kleine, I’ve yet to reach them. We still do not know if they will try to attack if we get too close,” Javal said with some difficulty. At this point he was turning almost completely inverted.

He strained to look over at one of the crewman floating helplessly in the cargo hold.

“You there, Crewman! Can you hear me?” he called out to one of them. It was best to test whether they even acknowledged discourse at all before continuing, Javal thought.

[Cadet Javal - doctor]

=^= Ven to Javal, Fleming, Lister and Syme. It seems that a food-borne pathogen may be causing the illness that’s affecting some crew members. It doesn’t look like it’s airborne, but exercise extreme caution just in case. If you can talk to any of your patients, see if they’ve eaten any grapok sauce recently and ask them where it came from. Report back to me with any new information. Ven out. =^=

[Lieutenant JG Ven Miya, CMO - cross-post]

Security NE Zumwalt walked in wearing a pair of mag boots and looked up at the two cadets floating in space among the isolated infected engineers. The man just shook his head as he remained firmly secured to the floor, eating a bag of salted peanuts as he watched. “Cadets,” he grumbled under his breath before standing watch at the door to the cargo bay.
