COS's Office - Cadet Smith Reporting for Duty

Posted Jan. 3, 2022, 1:46 p.m. by Cadet Scott Webber (Security Officer) (S Smith)

Webber had just gotten off of the shuttlecraft that had taken on board the Challenger and knew that he needed to check in with the Chief of Security before doing anything else, after all, he thought first impressions are everything. He thanked the pilot of the shuttlecraft and quickly viewed the ship map on his PADD before making his way to the Chief of Security’s office.

Webber estimated that he had about 15 minutes before he had to report for his first shift so he needed to hurry if he was going to make it around the ship in time. His walk turned into a controlled speed walk and he estimated that he was going to have enough time to make introductions and make it to his first shift. As he approached the Chief’s office he became nervous about the new environment and people but calmed himself by knowing that the age difference between him and the Chief was not large so it would not be hard to relate to him.

He stood in front of the office and pressed doorbell. When he heard “Come in” he walked into the office, and standing at attention Webber confidently said “Cadet Webber reporting for duty, Sir!”
