First day on a new ship. I wondered how things would be here. After putting my belongs in my quarters I went to find the science department head. Time to check in and get to work.
Once I found the CSO’s office I knock on the door.

Cadet David Mitchell
Sitting in his office, Aaron was reviewing the last report about the virus that threatened the Challenger and the vaccine he and his staff developed. After the incident, he has decided to do further tests in order to make a more elaborated vaccine to replace the one made in the rush. For now, the result was satisfying and the development of this new vaccine might be done pretty fast.

He was just reviewing the last antigen tested on the virus when the doors chime. He was expected the arrival as a new cadet, which is why he had decided to work in his office instead of the lab. He shut down his monitor and says: “Come in !” The doors opened, revealing a cadet, probably the one he was expecting.

(OOC: Hi! Welcome aboard the ship David! The name’s Adrien, and as you guessed I play Aaron Williams, you’re character’s chief officer. If you have any questions about writing or RP, feel free to ask them as OOC as I’m doing in this section, or you can even contact me on Discord. And don’t worry, this thread is made so you can practice and build your character, so take your time. I hope you’ll like writing with us !)

“Cadet Mitchell reporting for duty.” Mitchell replied. ” I look forward to working with you sir.”
Ltjg. Williams waves toward a chair. “Welcome aboard cadet. I am looking forward to working with you also. Please have a seat.”

“Thank you, sir.” Mitchell says as he takes his seat.

OOC: I am looking forward to learning how this is done. Tried something similar many years ago but just couldn’t get in to it. Though I would try again.

As Mitchell sat, Aaron stood up and approach the replicator. “Coffe, Americano, Hot”, he ordered, and the drink materialized with a familiar humming. The Lieutenant took it and, turning around to face the cadet, he asked him: “Do you want anything to dring, while I’m at it ?”

OOC: Quick point about your writing: so far, so good. I saw you changed your writing from first person to third person and I wanted to tell you that we write in the third person to avoid misunderstanding between posts, but you changed it for yourself, so no problem. There is just a little problem you’ve made, about the fact that you wrote Aaron’s response. It’s an error I have already made, not to worry, but normally you don’t take other characters’ control without their creator’s consent. There is an alternative you can do is use the empty space between the character speech to add your response. When I’ll reply to your future post, I’ll leave a blank spot for you to fill. That’s a lot of information to assimilate, sorry about that.
