As the ship initiated docking procedures, Cadet George Haroon made his way down the halls of the Challenger.

He was planning on using his free time while the ship was docked to make much more progress on his experiment to turn a supernova back into a star. He was unaware of any reason that he would have to leave the ship. He entered the science lab, and got to work.

Aaron entered the lab half an hour after Haroon. He started to gather some data, and with the help of some NEs, to take the mysterious substance that split Morton some days ago. The liquid was heavily contained in a cylinder and in the same condition she had been transported to ensure no threat.

While preparing to leave for the Jupiter’s lab, Aaron noticed the cadet working alone and said : “Aren’t you supposed to be off duty, Haroon ?”

“Looking at you, I could ask the same thing.” Haroon chuckled. “I like to spend my off duty time performing experiments. It calms me down.”

He punched a long sequence of numbers into a calculator, seemingly from memory.

Aaron’s eyes widened in surprise seeing him tap the sequence without checking.

“Guess you could say I enjoy my work so much I do it even when I don’t have to.”

Aaron nodded at him, still impressed by his dedication. “Well, you’ll surely love what we’ll do at the labs”, he said. “We have a liquid that opened dimensional pockets to analyze.” Even if it happened, saying it out loud was still weird.
