As Halcyone spoke into her badge, Henry slowly retreated into the Security Office, stopping at the computer console on the desk. With yet another attempt at casualty, he tapped a few keys, inputting his credentials, before moving to the door.

The red button next to the door had been installed months before at Rodier’s request, with the idea being that an intruder could be readily locked out. It could, of course, be fairly easily overridden, but the manual mode he’d just activated would make that at least a little more difficult. His hand moved to the button…

The office door slid closed and a click was heard.

=^=Acknowledge Commander. I’ll be there as soon as I can.=^=

Capt Foley - CO (crosspost)

Having made his excuses to Captain Alshoi, Aaron finally made his way back to the Challenger, and over to the security office. As he came up, he was surprised to find Pilar standing outside of the security office.

“What have you got Commander? Your message sounded like it was urgent.”

Capt Foley - CO

“Well…” she said averting her eyes for a moment. “We might have an issue. Lieutenant Rodier is anxious about going aboard the Station and for a good reason. I wanted to run this situation by you and get you to weigh in.” She took a calming breath as she thought about the best way to describe what was going on. “Lieutenant Rodier has a premonition…of sort. Essentially his future self has warned him to stay away from the Station or else he might place the Sol System in danger.... like exploding the whole system and killing every living being who lives there danger.” Pilar shrugged and shook her head at the same time. “I believe him. It’s happened before, messages from the future warning the present that there is impending danger. What do you think we should do?”

Halcyone,Counselor

Aaron rubbed his temples. He hated time travel, and everything that came with it, it always made his head hurt. Does warning your future self solve the problem? Or does it make it worse? Just give him a problem hear and now, and he was much happier.

“Let’s start with talking to the Lieutenant. Is he in here?” Aaron asked motioning towards the security office door.

Capt Foley - CO

Pilar gave him a quick nod. “He is. Just so you know he is a little rattled by the whole thing. I will join you to make sure he stays calm and can explain.” She stepped to the side so he could enter the security office.

Halcyone, Counselor

Aaron nodded as he stepped up to the door. When it didn’t open automatically he hit the release on the keypad next to the door, the door still wouldn’t open. He turned to look back at Pilar.

“I’m assuming that you didn’t know about this, and I think he is a bit more then just a little bit rattled right now, if he’s locking us out.

“Computer, release security office door. Authorization Foley Four Two Zulu.”

Capt Foley - CO

Pilar eyes were wide, surprised by the locked door, then she shook her head. “Yeah, it’s worse than I thought.” She waited for the door to open. “He was very much on edge, and might not be sure who to trust. However he was open to talking to you. The locked door could be an instinct to protect others from him. He thinks his actions are going to cause catstraphotic event.”

Halcyone, Counselor

The door slid open. Damn, Henry thought, though he was also strangely relieved that his attempt had failed, even if he wasn’t exactly sure why - why it had failed, or why he was relieved.

“Comma… Cap… Sir.” he stuttered, finally managing to bring himself to something resembling a steady state. “Come… come in.” He hovered near the door, refusing to move more than a couple of feet from the button.
