“Absolutely,” Dr. Rahm said. She’d been fascinated by the incident ever since rumblings of it were going around the upper brass in the Academy. “I’ve been a lot of places in the galaxy. Sewn a lot of things. But what was such a cargo doing on an Academy ship?!”

“That is a very good question, ” Russo said, looking about the space.

Dr. Rahm collected herself. “It seems like something as… special as the contents of that bottle that had a greater purpose in mind than trapping a wayward Ensign.”

“Hmmm,” the Station’s COO said as he began to move about, taking everything in keenly with his eyes and also his tricorder. “I do love a good mystery, don’t you?”

Dr. Rahm touched the d’ja pagh dangling from her ear. “It’s deeper than that, Lieutenant. As Chief Medical Officer, all these cadets and ensigns are under my care. If there’s a hint that this was meant to cause harm to Starfleet, it behooves us all to get to the bottom of it. Do you understand what I mean?”

-CMO Rahm Vesta

“Ohh, a conspiracy theory, that’s always fun,” Russo said with a grin. “What makes you think it was intentional and not just someone’s cargo gone wrong?”

After leaving Lieutenant Rodier and Captain Foley, Pilar researched the location of Commander Green and Lieutenant Russo on Jupiter Station. She was surprised to learn that Russo was aboard the Challenger in Cargo Bay 3. She hopped in the turbo-lift and when she arrived on Deck 12 in the Cargo Bay, she hurried out of the lift, forgetting to acknowledge Dr. Vesta and Lieutenant Sheridan, walked directly to Lieutenant Russo, and said, “Lieutenant, welcome aboard the Challenger. May I have a word with you please?” She didn’t intend to fully share with him what Rodier had told her like the part where he had encountered a future version of himself, but she did intend to tap into the COO’s experience and ask if there was something on the Jupiter station that could destroy a whole planetary system.

Halcyone, Counselor

Dr. Rahm crossed her hands over her chest indignantly.

“Excuse me, Counselor. I believe that the Lieutenant and I were in the middle of a conversation.” Vesta sighed and softened her tone. “But if it’s important, I can certainly touch base with him later.”

-CMO Rahm Vesta

Jupiter Station’s looked between the two women a couple of times with slightly raised brows and almost quipped something about there being enough of him to go around, but wisely kept that comment to himself.

Pilar turned toward Dr. Vesta, as she placed her hands behind her back, like a Vulcan would do, a gesture she no doubt she picked up from her husband and said, “I do apologize, Dr. Rahm, for my sudden and rude intrusion. However while I am sure your conversation with Lieutenant Russo was important, I feel I have a more pressing, if not urgent matter to discuss with him. Therefore if you will allow me a few moments with him, I would appreciate it.”
She nodded to the doctor then turned back to Russo and said, “May I gather your thoughts on something?”

Halcyone, Counselor

Russo winked at the doctor. “I’ll be back in a jiff, don’t you worry. I still have a deck plate to cut out after all.”

Stepping away, Russo considered Pilar. “What’s on your mind, Counsellor?”
