“Listen up!” yelling for the attention of everyone in the large main engineering space, Alex began. “alrighty, I’ve decided that, since new systems were installed during the refit, the challenger can handle more power draw especially in main engineering. I’ve gotten the captains approval to begin installing holographic diagnostic equipment here in engineering. …starting with my office” Sheridan said lightheartedly, eliciting a chuckle from the engineering staff. “Here are your assignments” he continued, handing out PADDs, “your teams will be included in your assignment information. Cadet black, you’re new so you get to help the boss. Come grab your assignment get the supplies we need and meet me in my office.” turning back to his office he said. “I’ll work on cleaning up the place a little.”

“Ok, first we are going to start with the desk, I need it to be able to have its own emitters so it can display stuff on the desk” and the whole room will have its own more powerful system. the first step will be to get the power distribution network set up.” Alex said, opening his personal toolkit.

James took his toolkit, and began to work next to the chief. He looked around the office.”nice setup chief, how long have you been a engineer?” Cadet black tried to make conversation, as hewent from tool to tool.

“Well, I’ve been with the challenger for two months now, but before that I worked for at least nine years in starship design, three of which I served under Kalos Onovren, one of my closest friends, working on the Far Star class Development project. I Majored in starship design in college, and minored in architecture and built a house on betazed for Kalos’s father…”
pointing to the glass wall, Alex abruptly changed the subject, obviously not wanting to talk about his friend, a worried expression flashed briefly across his face. “How should keep the glass wall from creating a hole in the space we can use, ‘cause we cant mount emitters on it. That would ruin the look.”
