Aaron grinned at him :”I’ll make sure they don’t !” Inept ? Who do you think we are, some kind of school trip ? As much as he could understand that losing his life work would certainly be upsetting to the point one could eject the first person he encounter out of this station, but the cadets, if not the whole crew, were highly trained personnel and they certainly wouldn’t be in outer space if they weren’t competent.
Still, he’s right. We’re not aboard the ship, those labs aren’t ours. Walking back toward the console, he said : “Tell me, Commander, while you are available, maybe you could help me with a problem of ours. If you have the time, of course.”

Lieutenant Aaron Williams - CSO

Doctor Green waved his hand. “Eh, time is relative. There’s always time. What’s your problem?” the scientist said as he moved over to check the readouts on a console.

Opening the window that displayed the unknown matter’s report, he showed the man the molecular structure he was studying : “Well, recently we had a bottle of an unknown origin that broke, and its substance trapped half of a cadet’s body in a pocket dimension.” Opening another window, he showed Morton vitals data on the day of the incident. “And while having his body in a parallel dimension, the cadet’s body was still able to function properly. The boy couldn’t move, but he still could feel his ‘missing’ members, which is incredible on his own.”
Back on the result screen, he continued : “And for now, based on what we know, the reaction was produced by contact with the air nitrogen. And it’s our only clue, the substance was entirely used to create the pocket dimension.” Although the Lieutenant doubted that Green could help him narrow the research any further, it was still good to share his result with a colleague.

Lieutenant Aaron Williams - CSO

Greene had studied the information show and had a rather neutral expression on his face, strangely disinterested even as he was clearly taking in everything Williams was showing him. “There are all kinds of kinetically unstable substance that are intrinsically labile and can result in explosions. It sounds like your bottles contained something that reacted to the nitrogen in the air as you said, but whatever it was had to have been unstable on a spatial level. Your Ensign Morton wasn’t cut in half or disappeared. He was phased partial into a different realm. Not unheard of, but his vitals showed that it stressed his body. Probably a combination of the physical stress and also the mental stress. Psychological triggering of physical symptoms and all that. “

“I take it you don’t have any of the substance left?” the researcher asked.

Aaron shooke his head : “Not even a single drop, everything reacted with the air. But the phase you mention might be the key to -“
Before he could finish his sentence, the doors opened to reveal a group entering the lab.
Cadet black was following Rebecca staying silent, he stood at ease just listening too everybody. He was looking around, with spike in his pocket.

Haroon was also following, breathing rather heavier than usual. He looked at his feet.

Cadet George Haroon (Science)
Seeing Haroon and Black following the unknown woman, Aaron guessed she was making a little tour to the cadets. Looking at Green, he was expecting one of them to introduce the woman.

Lieutenant JG Aaron Williams - CSO

“Lt. sir this is commander Rice, of Jupiter station. She is nice enough to show us around. “ he motioned to her and smiled.

Cadet Brecker quietly followed behind the other cadets. Her posture was kind of stiff. With her arms folded behind her back she quietly took in the scenery. A small wonder and mysticism overtook her face. Her eyes wandered about as they went. She remained aware enough to have followed her compatriots, but looking at her face she clearly wasn’t all together in the station with everyone.

OOC: Just following Mischief’s advice and filing in. I’m happy to return to being active :D
