Dr. Rahm’s demeanor changed completely. “Oh, thank you,” she said. “I honestly shouldn’t have been poking my nose in so much but I’m damn curious.

Pilar gave her a gentle smile as she placed her hand on the woman’s shoulder. “No need to thank me. I know you would not interfere if you didn’t think you could be of any help.

She leaned in conspiratorially. “Most of my work in the resistance was logistics and field medicine. But during that time and in the Dominion Wars after, rumors were that both the Maquis and the Dominion–maybe even a resistance cell–had tech for a bomb made from a compound of parts trilithium, tekasite, and protomatter. Trilithium is relatively common on a starship. The tekasite can be obtained, but the protomatter is rare and said to be highly unstable. Combined, the results could indeed be system-destroying.”

“Trilithium, tekasite, and protomatter, huh? Would all three need to be present to produce the bomb or can it suffice with just two of the components?” Pilar walked closer then said, “I don’t want to cause a panic but I think there is something on the Jupiter Station that is targeted on the Sol System. We must find it, neutralize it. Is there a way to easily locate these components?”

Halcyone, Counselor

Rahm Vesta was not really a bomb maker. Once, she had made a bombé suprême and it had been filled with Rigelian coconut. But she did have some light explosives knowledge.

“Two of the three can make a bomb, yes. I’m not certain on the exact amount of material you’d need to destroy a system, but I’d wager quite a bit… perhaps enough where biospectrical or spectrographic analysis would help?”

Outside in the corridor, unseen by the women in the cargo bay Russo did a quick scan of the corridor. Seeing nothing further that he was looking for, he tucked the tricorder back away and waited for someone to return. All of this was interesting. Very interesting. There was a great deal of potential here and Cameron wondered how he could work this all to his advantage.

“Okay then. All of this information is very helpful,” said Pilar. “I think it’s time for us to rejoin Mr. Russo and put our heads together so we can figure this out.” She motioned for Dr. Rahm to follow her outside of the Cargo Bay.
As they exited Cargo Bay, Pilar called out to Russo, “Mr. Russo,” there was a smile on her face like nothing ever happened, “Dr. Rahm” She motioned toward the doctor with her hand, “may have some information to assist us. Trilithium, tekasite, and protomatter. Do you know if any one or all three elements are currently aboard the Jupiter station?”

Halcyone, Counselor

Russo smirked. “Seriously? You think we’d keep the ingredients for a trilithium device on board a highly populated station in the Sol system? Well, all I can say is that I haven’t allowed those materials to come aboard. Some ships can manage to store trilithium safely, but I think it would be foolhardy where we are, don’t you think?”
