As the day went on and the appointments vanished Sorazo finally was able to meet his supervisor, the XO. Ringing the chime to her office he waited for the response.Lt. Commander Dar, CNS
OOC: Hey Travis, I had actually already posted a Sim where your character and my character was supposed to meet. I am surprised you didn’t see it:

In any case I will go ahead and reply here.Mika
OOC: I’m sorry I didn’t see it before. My apologies.
IC: Pilar heard the chime. She hadn’t expected anyone however she was grateful for the interruption because she’d had not had the opportunity to get out of her office and socialize, an aspect of her old position she definitely missed. She smoothed her hair a bit before she invited her visitor to enter with simple and friendly, “Please come in!”
Halcyone, Counselor
Sorazo came in when she said so and politely bowed in her presence. “Good day to you madam. I’m Sorazo Dar, your new Counselor. I was hoping to get a couple minutes of your time to introduce myself. If not, I can Come back later?”
Lt. Commander Sorazo Dar CNS
Pilar smiled at him and said, “Yes, Counselor, I know who you are.” She looked around her work area, shuffled a few PaDDs to the side, and then said, “Ah…no, this is a perfect time. I was actually about to stop by your office. Please have a seat.” She motioned her hand to an open chair.
Halcyone, XO
“Well thank you very much madam.” He said as he was sitting down. “You would’ve been standing there for a while since I don’t even know where the office is.” He chuckled. “I always like to get my evals out of the way first unless there is a need. And since you are my direct supervisor, you are the last person on my list, minus the captain if the captain would permit me some time. But since you already know who, I am, do you have any questions for me?”
Lt. Commander Sorazo Dar CNS
Pilar raised her eyebrows, “You don’t know where your own office is? Well we will have to fix that. I can give you a tour of the ship after we are done with our chat.”
She looked a little uncomfortable and shifted when he called her his supervisor. “Supervisor. It is term that sounds like I am here to watch your every move. I do not care for it. You should think of me more as your direct contact or resource if you should need anything. I have no doubt you are capable of fulfilling your duties, and I intend to interfere as little as possible.” The words were the same exact ones her husband had said to her when she happened to fall under his command on the USS Ambitious and she had referred to him as her supervisor during one of their conversations. She paused then said, “I do have one question. How are you getting along with the cadets? Any interesting ones or anyone you have on your radar?”Halcyone, XO

He smiled sheepishly. “No I do not. I just arrived on board this lovely ship two hours ago and went straight to sickbay and had a wonderful exam and conversation with the CMO. She’s great. And a tour would be great! Thank you!” He looked surprised at her comment about the term supervisor but each to their own he thought. “Oh. Sorry about that. It’s just a term but I do know how some labels can have a bad or negative connotation to them if used in a different way. I will try to refrain from calling you that ma’am. And I have just been going to my check-ins. I have not seen anyone not working yet and I have not been to the mess hall, holodecks or other recreation or places of gather yet. I will let you know when I do though, but in passing and I will be generic about it. You know confidentiality and all that. But that only goes for me actually having appointments with them. Basic observations by walking around are free to mention.” He then remembered something. “But I know you know that being the Executive Officer and all and a former CNS yourself. I know I am here to replace you. Well maybe replace is not the right word since to many you are unreplaceable, But to help out so you can do other things.” He smiled. “Any more questions?”
Lt. Commander Sorazo Dar, CNS
“Dr. Rahm is very interesting. She has a very animated personality, very direct, but also generous. I had lunch with her when she first arrived. She has some of the most interesting stories about her time in the Dominion War.”
Pilar looked at the chronometer and said, “I had not realized you had only been on the ship for two hours. I am glad you are here to replace me.” She said with a smile. ” I have been operating in both roles up until this point. Hope you are ready for the backlog of cadets I will pass off to you. Most of the initial evaluations are done, I will be sending my notes from those to you and also the schedule of follow-ups that need to be done. Yes, I am aware of the confidentiality confinements of your job, and that you can only share need-to-know information with me and the CO, upon request.” Her counseling habits kicked in as they always did when she talked to or met someone new. “I don’t have any more questions for you but I would like to know a little more about you. How much can you tell me about yourself in say....10 minutes?”Halcyone, XO
“Yes. Dr. Rahm is pretty great!....I mean, she is amazing..uh..She’s ok.” Looking down. Idiot! He told himself. “I am sorry for anyone that was in the Dominion War. I have helped many try to overcome their trauma from it. I am looking forward to helping you out. Load me up madam and I am not as interesting as the good doctor is. I am rather boring. I was an academic in school, reading everything I could get my hands on. The family wanted me to get a degree and in biology and chemistry so that I can work in the family business of wine making, but I wanted to help people and didn’t really want to be a doctor and decided on being a counselor instead. My parents were upset but whatever, I like to drink wine not make it. My passions lie elsewhere. I joined Starfleet and worked on two ships until I became a Lieutenant. Then went to the Federation on Earth to counsel there. I decided I should get back into working on ships, so I asked for a transfer and ended up here. Like I said, not very interesting.”
Lt. Commander Sorazo Dar, CNS
“Nothing about what you just told me seems boring. I like hearing about how people got to where they are today. You did good following your own interests. If not anything else it will ensure your success because it is something you want to do and not something someone wants you to do. So you prefer being starships rather than being on Earth,” she joked.
“Are your parents doctors as well as winemakers?”Halcyone, XO
Sorazo chuckled. I would rather be on Earth or another planet that’s similar. There, I could just go do what I want, when I want. On a starship I can’t go away for a long weekend but I do get to see much more things up here than back home.” He chuckled again. “No. They are just winemakers. Always have been and always will. Funny thing is his dad was a lithium miner and wanted his son to follow his own footsteps and he didn’t want that for himself. I really don’t know why my dad was mad when I wanted the same thing. With all of my training, I still can’t figure it out. Oh well. Let’s go explore the ship!”
Lt. Commander Sorazo Dar, CNS
Pilar raised her eyes when he stated he’d rather be on Earth than on a starship. It was an unusual response especially since he stated he wanted to work on a starship. “Who knows,” she said shrugging. “When I was a counselor, parents were one of the biggest mysteries and the most discussed topic. It seems no matter the race, they become more confusing and less agreeable as they age.” She looked at her the time and then said, “I guess now is a good time for that tour.” She stood from her desk. “Let’s stop at the lounge first. I am starving.”
Halcyone, Counselor
“Now that is a great idea! Let’s eat!” He followed her out and to the Lounge.
