A crackle surged through the combadge.

=^=Dr. Rah.... En..g.n Br…er. We are a.... …d [zzzzt] ..n our way. To prevent ag…t the ea.. si.ns of radiation poisoning, [bzzzzzzt] emergency hypospray: [zzzzzpt] and lectrazine. [....zzt] Challenger. Please [zzzzpt] ..and hold on hope.=^=

-CMO Rahm Vesta

James put the lectrazine in. His basic training for an engineer wont help them much, but he did know medical. To which hypospray on all of them was used. He seemed calm but he didn’t know if it was him or really getting hard to breathe.

=^= Cadet Black, [kzt] in the contain… [krk] near… the exit as they can [kzzzt] with Doctor Vesta… [crrk] out of there. =^=
The message was mostly able to make it through, though the interference muddled it a bit.

~ Lt. Rodier - CoS (X-Post from Bridge)

Kylie gives James a side eye her expression becoming guarded. She let him get close to administer the hyposprays, but once that was done quickly she moved away. She moved across the room putting as much distance between them as she could. “Well… do you have any large power cells in this lab? The best thing I could think of at the moment would be to jerri-rig them to the power line of the shields… it could supply a sufficient level of power enough to allow us to contain the breach long enough for the containment protocols to disengage… and allow for us to get out of the lab… Then, I would imagine after a evacuation power could be cut to this portion and allow for it to safely run it’s course.” Kylie looks thoughtful. “Any luck on the schematic?” She asks thinking about the first plan she had offered up.
Cadet Kylie Brecker, Engineer

Greene seemed to snap to focus and sighed. “Any power cells are in an storage room back in the main lab. I know how this was built and it is supposed to be separate power sources.”

=/\=Russo to Rice. We’re outside the -ab. What’s your sta-us?=/\=

Rebecca exhaled audibly. Clearly proximity helped with the comm interference. =/\=Oh, thank goodness. We’re okay for the moment and inoculated for the time being against the radiation, but struggling to keep containment on the chamber. Cadet Brecker from the engineering department was wondering about specs. That’s your territory given the classification.=/\=

He nodded, more to himself than anything. =/\=Cadet Breker, are you able to get a -ew on the main power supply? It means pull– off the lower panel on the base of the chamb- and assessing the power assembly. There – supposed to be two separate ones. One on the right and one on the left. Are they st– separately wired?=/\=

“ Okay everyone nearest the exit please stay there,” he visualized a perimeter in his head to try to keep everyone in line with the exit. He could breathe a little better now that he had a task,

Brecker looked thoughtful if she can she will head to the indicated point and removes the pannel off of it. She pulled out a hyper spanner and began to check if she can get to the pannel in the first place.

The panel was standard and easily removable.

Inside there were two power assemblies, with everything keeping to their own side as they drew froma central manifold. Each side had its own regulators ad controls, so it stood to reason that each side was individually controlled. But it was clear that something was not right. There was a set of power cables that crossed between the assemblies. The chamber was still active and so too were these cables.

Commander Rice crouched beside Kylie. “What do you think?” she asked calmly, despite the urgency of the situation.

~Mischief Maker

Kylie’s face looked thoughtful as she studies the apparatus and the connections. “It seems that they were built properly… and everything would be okay… but it seems that mayhaps…” She paused a moment as she continued to think. “Well… I’m not entirely sure but… it looks like there potentially are some wires that have been crossed. Either it was assembled this way and you’ve been extremely lucky with the experiments. Or… they’ve been sabotaged.” She said as she got as close as she could while remaining safe with energized elements, looking for any signs of tampering. While doing so she taps her com reopening the channel from earlier. =^=This is Cadet Brecker. There are two elements but it seems that within the apparatus something has seemed to have crossed a few wires between the two sides. It could possibly cause some of the issue… especially if one tries to boost the shields, they could possibly end up boosting the anomaly chamber. With it being energized, it would be hard to fix this mess.=^= Her voice remained calm as she explained what she saw only hoping that the interference hadn’t cut out the com just yet. “The only thing I could think of would to be trying to boost the power to the anomoly chamber… and see if that will deal with the shields. Or reducing the power on the shields… to see if that will reduce the power on the chamber…” She added further sighing softly.
Cadet Kylie Brecker

=/\=Brecker… Cut power… repeat. Cut left side.=/\= It was a short message but no further instructions followed and there wasn’t anymore static so it appeared as if that was all Russo had to say.

She had a choice: follow his instruction, which was not the two she herself had suggested, or do something different because she felt it was the best thing to do. Either way, the stakes were rather high at the moment.

No pressure.

Kylie let out a breath and frowned deeply. Her head then swiveled to look Dr. Green in the eyes. “I would assume you don’t know what will happen if I were to do so… I’m going to assume that cutting either side will likely end badly… and really I would like to save that as the last resort.” She bit a portion of her lip. “As this affects all of our lives, I have to ask… how much do you trust the person who had said that?” Her face showed the inner concern and worry, thinking quickly through senarios to try and increase their chances of walking away without major radiation poisoning.
Cadet Kylie Brecker (Engineer)

Greene’s attention snapped to Kylie and then he looked to Commander Rice before looking back at the cadet. “He knows the systems . If he says cut cut something, I say go ahead and cut the damn the thing.”

Rice moved closer away from the safety of the door and crouched next to Brecker. “If he wanted harm to come to us all he had to do was wait. Go ahead, Cadet. Time is not on our side.”

~Mischief Maker

James continued to try and keep everyone next to the door,he looked on as he watched Kylie make this huge decision.
