Kylie let out a breath and frowned deeply. Her head then swiveled to look Dr. Green in the eyes. “I would assume you don’t know what will happen if I were to do so… I’m going to assume that cutting either side will likely end badly… and really I would like to save that as the last resort.” She bit a portion of her lip. “As this affects all of our lives, I have to ask… how much do you trust the person who had said that?” Her face showed the inner concern and worry, thinking quickly through senarios to try and increase their chances of walking away without major radiation poisoning.

Greene’s attention snapped to Kylie and then he looked to Commander Rice before looking back at the cadet. “He knows the systems . If he says cut cut something, I say go ahead and cut the damn the thing.”

Rice moved closer away from the safety of the door and crouched next to Brecker. “If he wanted harm to come to us all he had to do was wait. Go ahead, Cadet. Time is not on our side.”

James continued to try and keep everyone next to the door,he looked on as he watched Kylie make this huge decision.

Kylie took a deep breath and pushed down her sense of forboading. “Yes I am aware… I did the calculations.” She let out her breath forcefuly and with some exasperation, before taking another. “I don’t know what this will do. So… Commander Rice, Dr. Greene I would suggest that you go back to the door.. please.” Her voice was strained, the decision weighing heavy on her as she reached into the borrowed kit and pulled out a plasma cutter. “Minimize the risk…” She said softly before she wiped some sweat off of her forehead. She held the tool at the ready, clearly waiting on them to comply with her request.

Rice gestured for Greene to do so and the researcher moved over to stand with Black. Greene sighed. “Someone messed with my experiment,” he grumbled.

Rebecca reached out and put a hand on the cadet’s shoulder. “I’m right here with you. But when you cut the connection, we’re both going to move the hell out of the way.” This way it wasn’t all on one person’s shoulders and they could mitigate a tiny bit of the risk. But this was her call as the ranking officer and she understood the risk that remained.

OOC: Pasting this in here. When we do communications between two locations (even if they are just on opposite sides of a door) we post the comm in both locations. ~Linds

Two voices crackled through the comms, though they came in clear.

=/\= Cadet Black. This is Sorazo Dar. Please take the time to take some deep controlled breaths and close your eyes and try to relax. Think about all of those paintings that you have done over the years and the ones that you will do once we get you out. It will all be ok. I promise Dr. Rahm, the XO and I along with some others are doing our very best to get you out. Hang on. Spread the word to the others to help calm them down please. You’re a strong man and a fine natural born leader. We will all get through this.”=^=

A second voice, unmistakably Dr. Rahm Vesta’s:

=^=Cadets Black, Brecker–trust your training. We’re all here to support you.=^=
