SnipRainns snapped his fingers, “Yes,” he directed his beam further down the tunnel and called out, “If anyone is down here feel free to get our attention!” He quickened his pace ever so slightly, focusing on the pathway ahead, anticipating a response.

Mika realized the Ensign had a point. She had forgotten completely, and judging by the way Rainns snapped his fingers, she assumed he had as well. And so, in a voice much more timid than she would have liked, she called, “Anyone injured, call out!”

The Chief Engineer’s voice came over Lt. Tavium’s communicator.
=^= This is Lt. Vras. It is possible some sensors may have been tampered with that allowed for a mine explosion to take place. We are still reviewing the circumstances and the current status of the mine sensors. It is possible this may have been a deliberate act. Take all caution while in the mine. =^=

John raised an eyebrow at Mika’s timid voice and gave a small chuckle. His voice teased despite the gravity of the situation. “You can’t tell me that’s the loudest you can get.”
It was obvious he had been trying to ease his own stress.
Mika made a Pfffft-ing noise with her mouth, giving NE John a playful look. “I don’t see you trying to call out to them at all, now do I?” His attempt to tease eased Mika’s nerves, relaxing the atmosphere somewhat.
Meanwhile, Nijix continued the search with her crew. Hearing the CE over her communications, she pressed her comlink. She answered on the open channel.
=^= Nijix to Lt. Vras. I’m starting to suspect that myself. I’ve already notified my teams to be careful and report any odd behavior. The more pieces of this puzzle we have, the better.=^=

In the walls, as always, the feminine voice to the base COS said quite faintly. “Still here. Please don’t tarry too long… Like I said… Can’t feel my legs.”
The journey otherwise was uneventful, and after enough wandering and a few pieces of rubble they parties were able to find the trapped Bolian, leg crushed against the wall.

As soon as the party saw the Bolian, Mika rushed forward. Then, she stopped, several paces short, remembering in a moment that she should probably let the Security team go first. She gave a friendly smile, and then turned and waited for Lieutenant Tavium’s direction.
