Tandra leaned into Aili, and they ended up sat next to each other, leaning into each other, with Aili’s head on Tandra’s shoulder. “I think so, too. I think any movie this old that’s still around must have… something about it. You know?” She smiled, enjoying the warmth of being so close to Aili.

They watched on as a dance hall of dancers leaped through a parted floor into a swimming pool and a romance began growing between the leads. A thrill rushed through Aili’s stomach as. Turning to rest her chin on Tandra’s shoulder, she spoke gently into the other woman’s ear. “Just think how many people have sat watching this same movie, just like us, in the last four centuries. How much history has gone by. Now us, all the way out here. Doesn’t it just, just…”, she squeezed Tandra’s hand tightly, “…just fill you with wonder?”

Mika nodded, watching the two leads grow closer together. “How many people watched it. How many cried to it, fell in love to it, watched it as a feel good movie…” she leaned into Aili a little further. “Kissed to it…” She smiled, squeezing Aili’s hand as Aili squeezed her.

A sensory euphoria for which she had no precedence overtook Aili. The sweet aroma of Tandra’s perfume, the gentle, soothing tone of her voice, the deep shimmering beauty of her eyes and the electric shock her squeezing hand sent shooting up her arm combined to play a wonderful chord on the strings of Aili’s heart. Frankly, they were so close together she almost felt like she could taste Tandra on her lips. Aili’s universe shrunk to the size of the sofa as she was hypnotised by her partner’s words. Any of her anxieties which remained melted away as she fell to Tandra’s charm. Feeling a sudden need to actualise her fifth sense of the other woman, she instinctively closed the few inches that remained between the pair, her eyes falling shut as she felt Tandra’s lips on her own.
