Buckingham continued to scan with the Medical Tricorder he was using. Sensing slight frustration from the Chief Engineer he explained his reasoning behind a thorough check. “I tend to agree with you. From what you say, it’s sounds like there should be no effect from the passage through these portals. However, I’m no authority on Temporal Rifts and their affect on the Humanoid frame. So I prefer to do a good scan of you, to cover all bases - so to speak.”
He continued to scan for a few moments more before closing the Tricorder and slipping it into his Lab Coat pocket.
“Well Lieutenant, Other than the cuts and scrapes you’ve acquired, everything seems to be fine. So to proceed, I’ll grab a Dermal Regenerator to repair these cuts, and you can be on your way.”
Tom walked over to a near by instruments tray and picked up a Dermal Regenerator. “Do you feel any Sickness or Dizziness at all To’Kar?” He said before returning to her.

Cadet Thomas Buckingham, Medical

Ang sat patiently as the doc finished his scan. It was good to know she hadn’t actually suffered any ill affects from her ordeal. That would have been mildly annoying, to say the least.

As he cleared her, at least internally, she smiled. “Thank you. I guess my next project will be to go back and study transdemensional travel, worm holes, and temporal displacement. Apparently, my thoughts of ‘what good is this to me’ is no longer a valid excuse.” She tried to laugh but it rankled her that the one area of study she ‘should’ have listened to, was one she had mildly skimmed thru and retained just enough knowledge, at the time, to pass her exams. So much for ‘useless information’.

The doc’s query brought her out of her self chastising mode. “Um… no. Not really. I mean, I had a slight headache. But my guess is explosions, fights and excitement will do that to someone. And it is fading, so I’m not overly concerned with it.”

Normally she would have just washed the cuts off and let them go. But since she would be returning to the bridge after this, showing backup with still fresh wounds probably wasn’t a good idea. She also realized that a return to her quarters for a fresh uniform would be a requirement before reporting back to the CO. The one she wore was torn and looked about as worn as she did. Without thinking, the half Klingon tore both the sleeves off her tunic to give the doc access. When he returned her arms were bare and the worst of the cuts, now scabbed over with dried blood, was now easier to treat on her right arm. SHe smiled and shrugged, giving him a ‘what did you expect’ look.

Buckingham listened as To’Kar spoke about further reading into Transdimentional happenings and the like. “I wouldn’t worry about it too much if I were you Lieutenant” He smiled, “After all, I’m sure it’s not everyday that portals start popping up in various parts of the ship… at least I hope not anyway” He joked.

As To’Kar pulled the sleeves of her tunic off Tom was a little taken aback ‘A more unusual method for gaining access to a wound, but just as effective’ He thought.
“Thank You” He chuckled as he began gently cleaning the cuts and marks before treating them.
Tom then used the Dermal Regenerator to start repairing the lacerations. In an effort to drum up a bit of small talked Tom asked “So To’Kar, How was London?”

Suddenly off to their side, the figure of the green skinned CMO appeared. Where she had been was anyone’s guess. She merely appared, giving Ang a smile, then looking over at Thomas a little more seriously.

“Report cadet!” She barked, her eyes shifting back over to Ang and giving the woman a playful wink.

-Lt. Marlene Judas, CMO

Buckingham stopped his work and turned to face the CMO. “Ma’am, Lieutenant To’Kar called in with some cuts and scrapes from an …” he paused to think how to phrase the next part of his sentence. “… interesting turn of events, the details of which I’ll leave to Lieutenant To’Kar to explain in more detail.” Tom didn’t care to explain the Temporal Rifts, the explanation would be too long, and because Tom wasn’t present during the event the he only partly understood what had happened. “Having performed a thorough scan I have started treatment of some of the cuts which were quite deep.” Tom continued calmly. “Also Ma’am you were receiving a message on the Computer in your Office.”

Marlene gave a curt nod, but didn’t say anything else. She looked over towards Ang, awaiting the woman’s response.

How was London? That was an interesting quetion. Ang answered the only way she could. “Well, the warehouse I was in seemed quaint.” She tried to laugh but her features became distorted and she looked more like she was angry than amused.

She saw the woman as she spoke and a small growl was swallowed quickly at having been snuck on so well. For a split second, Ang was glad she wasn’t Security. To have someone appear so suddenly would certainly be a blow to the ego. Instead, it was her Klingon side that had startled and caused the reaction.

Settling back down, the new Chief Engineer listened to the barked order as well as the quick reaction from the Cadet. Realizing the woman’s arrival and expected update was apparently something the man was used to, she remained silent. She was a patient and, far as she could ascertain, nothing untowards had occured. She wasn’t so gravously injured to have necessitated a call for a more skilled member of the medical team.

But as the Cadet glossed over the temporal rift and her subsequent rally thru it and back, a small smile lit her face. With the rigid forehead, the action almost gave her a feral look. Not exactly warm and welcoming.

Storming down the corridor onwards the sickbay doors, Rexar began to smile. A smirk quite actually that he quickly forced away as he steadied his pace to an orderly march rather then an excitable charge. He was ecstatic in truth. Eager to get to his post, to do his job but most importantly do his family the honour of his service. To honour the memory of his mothers but didn’t want anyone to think him to green. He was ready, willing and assuredly able. Passing through into sickbay to both his DH and the CMO there seemed fortunate yet questioned Lt. To’kar’s response for not reporting directly to engineering.
I’ll deal with that when the time comes. The truth will have to suffice he reasoned to himself
“Good day Lt. Judas, Lt. To’kar. I’m Cdt. Omtala, Rexar from engineering department. I was hoping to scheduled my medical when appropriate Ma’am. Lt. To’kar I would have reported to you first but I considered it to be prudent to ascertain I was fit according to regulations before begin assigned to task Lieutenant.”
Relief crossed over him suddenly as he stood at a relaxed attention. Content that he’d spoken his mind and prepared for the repercussions. In his haste he’d forgotten to introduce himself to the medical department cadet and so decided to jesture with an inviting nod while his antennae searched about them with mild intent.

CDT. Rexar Omtala (Engineer)

“Very prudent of you, cadet. Your department head, namely me, should be your final check in. Mostly because you’re likely to be straight to work. Having to wait for clearances you haven’t done,” she grinned. But again, the half Klingon features made it seem almost haunting. “Yeah, not such a good thing.”

Marlene was about to tend to the message awaiting her in her office when the new arrival appeared. She looked over at Thomas. “Cadet Buckingham, when you’re finished with the Chief, will you see to our new cadet here?” She leaned in towards Ang.

“Good to see you again,” she said softly to her fellow DH, her voice becoming more soft, with a hint of friendliness creeping in.

And nodded slightly in return, “And you, ma’am.” She responded in kind then let the woman go back up being gruff, a slight not of approval moving her head.

With that, she turned on her heel and made her way to her office.

-Lt. Marlene Judas, CMO

Buckingham stood as the conversation happened around him, realising that his medical consultation had been somewhat hijacked. Tom nodded and smiled in return to his fellow cadet.

“Yes Ma’am” He said to his DH.

He turned back to To’Kar and ran one last Scan over her. “Well To’Kar, That’s all of the damage repaired. Provided that you feel fine, and have no further complaints, You are cleared to return to duty.” He paused for a moment before saying “Oh, and before you return to the bridge you might want to jump into a fresh Uniform” He joked.

Cadet Thomas Buckingham, Medical

And turned to the medical cadet and smiled, “Thank you for the observation.” She laid the torn off sleeves from her tunic over the man’s hand and tricorder before shipping from the table. Hey grace somehow at odds with her angular and well toned body. She paused in front of her new engineer and smiled. “Welcome aboard, Cadet Omtala. I’ll see you soon as I’m able. I’m on my way to the bridge. Today, finish all your check ins. When that’s done, I want you to do a half shift in engineering so tomorrow morning you can find your way around. Get your exploring out of your system now.” She laughed and moved out of sick bay with another nod to the CMO.

((Orders are so cadet can join sim there without checking in with Ang who won’t be there lol))

” Consider it done Sir. Looking forward to the workload. ” Rexar called from over the shoulders of CDT. Buckingham.
As he peered from about the doctor his antennae spiked like throwing darts towards his DH. His face contorted as he fought with himself to remain in firm and stoic, resisting the urge to leap from the bed and make any excuse strike up a conversation about all the questions he had racing through his mind. Simply nodding with a sharp downward jutting of the chin would due to affirm his compliancy with Lt.To’kar and his resolution to choke down his pulsing exhilaration.

CDT. Rexar Omtala. Engineer
OCC: Thanks for the quick jump. How do I find that sim?

((Ooc… I’ll respond to MAIN SIM: ENGINEERING then you’ll be tagged… Just jump in…))
