It felt like she was back at the Academy, herself. Of course, she was much too old for that, at least, in comparison to the people who were there. Then again, the feeling she was experiencing, sitting behind that table, her eyes scanning over the information she was required to know for the PhD program she was continuing on towards.. it reminded her. Reminded her of sitting behind Mister Valan, a Klingon man, in her biology class, when he would suddenly understand what was going on, a roar in pleasure at his accomplishments.

It gave her the feeling of being lectured by one of her professors, especially in quantum physics, when they would discuss matters she could only barely understand. The wonder that filled those young eyes, the amazement at suddenly getting it. Sometimes, she wished she would have roared like Valan, wondering if it enhanced the situation. Although, she somehow doubted it.

Reaching over, in order to pick up her second cup of coffee, she brought it to her lips, only to find it had been run dry. Sighing, she peered over the PaDD, as if making certain she was bone dry. Chewing the inside of her lip, she pushed the chair out and rose to her feet, curling the PADD beneath her arm, as she headed to the Replicator as to achieve another mug of that black coffee. Some might say she was addicted to the bitter substance. Any of her subordinates could confirm she drank several glasses a day, and still managed to sleep at night.. if she were lucky. It was one of the few staples in human cuisine she actually enjoyed, finding its bitterness to remind her of the food she was used to eating, standing beside the replicator, she ordered another. As it hissed open, the glorious mug before her, she hummed in content, reaching out to grab it, before she was stopped.

“Don’t you think that is more than enough Coffee for one day, Eshrallias?” The kind face of a man poked into her vision, but Vheris returned his cheerful grin with a look of death, her eyes narrowed a bit in slight annoyance that he dare stop her from consuming another cup.

“Hmph. It is never enough, not when I need the energy.” Vheris assured, waving him off, as if there were no issue in the matter. “I know what I’m doing, trust me.”

“Right. And exactly how many cups have you consumed?” He asked, a raised eyebrow indicating he was pressing about the matter, something Eshrallias didn’t like.

“This is number three,” She informed, as if proud she had not drank as much of it within the last twenty-four hours. “Now, if you don’t mind, I have an exam coming up, and I need to study.”

“Mhm. And when was the last time you slept there, Lieutenant?” The man pressed on, a knowing smirk coming across his features, teasing her.

“Oh, shut up.” Gently swatting his hand away, she grabbed the cup of coffee and retreated back to her table in the corner, where she settled down. Setting the PaDD back on the table, just beginning to return to her assignment, she reached for the cup, tugging it to her lips. Yet, just as she was about to sip, the man was found standing before her. “For the sake of the gods, leave me alone!”

“You’re going to kill yourself with how much of that stuff you’re drinking there, Eshy.” He grinned, simply loving pester the Andorian. Not many could get on her nerves quite like he could, and he took pride in that truth.

“I know. And I take pride in that. Can you leave now?” She asked, an impatient undertone about her words, as she waved him off with her hand.

“Fine. Fine. But don’t come crying to me, if you’re diagnosed with some disease.” He smirked at her, baring her farewell, where he tapped the table and left from the room.

Rolling her eyes, “Feel free to plan my funeral,” Eshrallias sipped at her coffee, muttering about what the man had just said to her. Pushing away those thoughts, she returned to her astrophysics homework. Of course, she wouldn’t be pleased to see that particular officer again, but anyone else? Who knew how the comical Andorian might respond to them.
