“Enter”, David called.
The doors opened, and the Captain looked up from the terminal at his desk to see Vahl enter.
“Commander, take a look at this,” he said by way of greeting, turning his terminal around. “I still can’t seem to make heads or tails of these energy signatures from our last encounter with these… beings. Given their temporal aspect, and the fact that they were on Earth before, you would think there might be something that was recorded before. I wonder if it’s been lost in myth and legend…”
“At least tell me you have good news with the ship’s status?” David asked.

“It’s not bad,” Keena responded, holding out a PaDD, “We can likely still proceed with our newly assigned mission, engineering is prioritizing vital and mission-vital systems for repair, we’ll still be slightly delayed at around two days, but HQ has indicated that it’s still acceptable for our mission perimeters. I have a list of all the repairs needed, the main one is the warp engines, that’s what’s going to hold us two days, everything else can likely be done en route.”
“It’s possible they were lost to myth and legend, many types of stories like that often have some degree of truth to them,” she added.
