“I don’t know the frequency of Human participation, but it’s a popular sport for those that like more adventurous activities.” Liadra smirked slightly. “As for my participation, I learned at the Academy when I tried to join the hydrosailing team and had to give it up.” Her smirk deepened. “Too many visits to Sickbay.”

“Okay! So let’s go,” Liadra said before querying the computer to outfit them with the necessary wetsuits. They had cropped legs and short sleeves though, since the water was warmer. Placing her hands on her hips, she pretended to pose. “Stylish, right?” she said with one of her wider grins.

“We… have to wear that?” Cain asked as he arched his eyebrow. He wasn’t sure how he felt wearing that. “Is there other options? Maybe something that doesn’t make me look like a wet seal?” he asked her with a dead pan expression.

Treyarch, CoS

“Yes, you have to wear it,” Liadra said with a grin. “It provides protection, well, some. I mean if you’re really opposed to it, we can do this in just a swimsuits. The water is warm, after all. Your choice,” she said brightly.

“I mean… I don’t want to be unprotected.” he said mulling it over, the garment wasn’t something he normally would choose but it seemed he had little choose in the matter. “Fine but don’t laugh.” he said, giving her a small wink as he proceeded to put on the suit.

Liadra smirked. “And why would I do that? After all, I’m wearing it too.”

Moving over to the second of the two boats, she crouched down and checked that it was still securely tied to the dock. There was still movement though, so she knew she’d have to check her balance as she stepped into the small boat. Looking up, she smiled at the bright green and blue sail that would allow her to move swiftly across the water.

One foot stepped in and the boat shifted. Don’t be afraid of the boat. You are one with the boat, she reminded herself as she shifted her weight towards the centre, crouching low and dragging her other foot into the boat. “Aha!” she explained jubilantly. I’m in!” she said, clearly surprised by the fact.
