The Craxus system was one well inside Federation space. It sported six worlds. Two were twin worlds, orbiting about one another in a wider orbit around the sun at a distance akin to Mercury. The next world is Craxus, a water world where 93% of the surface was covered in water. Chains of islands, mountaintops or volcanoes - active - spotted about the tectonic ridges like a bizarre connect the dots game. The largest such chain formed four large islands that took up 3% of the land space. Beyond this world were the ‘broken worlds’ - two large ice worlds that had at one time collided and which still sprouted space bergs in its deadly dance about the sun. The last was a lonely world, more like a moon that perhaps had escaped from the ice worlds that ran an erratic orbit about the sun.

Craxus II had a condition known as ‘ice fall’ which was at a time in its orbit - more like a season - where shards from the two ice worlds intersected the orbit and crashed down onto the world, sporting storms, tidal waves and attracting a whole variety of people - prospectors, thrill seekers, scientists and more. The system that the Endeavor came into was certainly crowded with 19 vessels of varying sizes - all of them civilian. But then Craxus II was open to such .. tourism.

OOC: Pasting Ang in …

Ang sat at her engineering post on the bridge and sighed. They were finally entering the system, shortly, and she sat up to begin checks to make sure everything was good to go. She double checked their eta at current warp speed so she could inform the Captain.

The helm officer tapped his comm badge. =/\= Captain Johnson, we have arrived at Craxus II. =/\=

Less than a minute later, the Captain left his ready room, walking towards his command chair. As he sat down, he looked at the view screen and sighed. “Looks a little busy, doesn’t it, Commander?” Johnson said to Commander Vahl.

“Just a tad sir,” Keena smirked.

He looked around to the tactical station. “Hail the orbital control ask them to send coordinators for a safe orbit to our helm,” Johnson said.

The orbital station was little more than an automated AI. On the request for orbit the station sent back a very detailed positioning, orbits and projected courses of the ships in the system, the positioning of icebergs in the region and plots of their timings on achieving atmosphere on Craxus II, as well as a half dozen potential standard orbits that the helm could make. The only ‘issue’ was that of ‘close’ calls with the objects (aka ice) that may require helm adjustments.

“Keena, start making arrangements with the SeaHawk for the crew exchange and cargo transfer and keep me updated. Have Commander Liadra help out with the crew change, and have Lieutenant Treyarch assign someone from security to the cargo transfer.”

“Aye sir,” Keena nodded, arranging to send a message to the SeaHawk to convey they were ready for the transfer, once she did that, she’d alert the CNS and COS for their orders.

David then touched the comm button on his armrest. =/\= Captain Johnson to all hands. We have arrived at Craxus II. We have a busy schedule ahead of us, so check in with your Department Heads for your orders. =/\=

“Helm, take us into orbit,” Johnson ordered. “Ops, hail the SeaHawk’s CO, and send the channel to my ready room.”

The Captain turned to Keena. “I think I should see what I can find out from the SeaHawk’s CO while the crew starts to get their orders.”

The hail was successful and they responded. The comms from the SeaHawk was =^= Welcome to the system, Endeavor. You are expected. And most welcome. =^= The voice was female, warm and with a tinge of relief in her voice.

OOC: Well, that was awkward … editing this out and putting it into the ready room …

Meanwhile, Keena got to work executing her orders, tapping her badge, =^=Vahl to Lt. Treyarch, the Captain would like someone assigned from security to oversee the cargo transfer.=^=

Tapping her badge once more, =^=Vahl to Counselor Liadra, I’d like your assistant in overseeing the crew transfer from the SeaHawk, I expect they’ll start that soon.=^=

Ang made notes of the orbits, ice bergs and other info and had it transferred to the engineering and cargo bay stations as well as her personal padd. Rising from her chair, she nodded to the CO. “Heading to engineering then to the bay to begin transfers and see what else we need to make sure ‘we’ aren’t the next thing to break down here.” She smiled and nodded to him once more before stepping into the lift.

=/\=Bridge. Captain Johnson here. I’ve been advised that the SeaHawk’s docking beacon can be pinged at a frequency of 187.9 . Set a course to rendezvous us with the beacon. =/\=

-Captain Johnson, CO

=^=Aye sir,=^= Keena responded, turning to the helm, “Lay in a course to rendezvous with the SeaHawk’s docking beacon.”
