The manifest was substantial and would take a transference of them from the bay to the shuttle via transporter and then to the surface. However, even before that, the ‘dock’ must be repaired that they would land on to do the delivery.
- WookieeFully aware of the urgency necessary for this task, Rexar immediately reviewed the prioritization lists and recategorized items to efficiently expedite the inspection process. He took a few moments to do so. Dropping the kit to the floor it slid a few meters and stopped just short of the first container. He had nearly ran across the cargo bay in his excitement and was eager to begin his work. Searching each container, removing every item, scanning every component and logging all the data would be effective albeit time consuming, and as such was not a commodity in great supply. So he decided otherwise. Tools, equipment and replacement parts were of obvious precedence and would be scanned first. Everything else would be restructured by its characteristics necessitated not generally by its need on the surface below, but by its structures, design, complexity and type. Electrical, mechanical, fabric or food item, it was important to understand that each and every individual object would read under a scan differently. This was well known to most everyone of course but what was often lost on many was the time factor of these procedures and careful planning and maintain the quality of the work while saving valuable minutes. Even a few seconds would do right now.
After opening the first crate and completing his physical examination, Rexar dove into the inspection kit and removed the tricorder set in the case. He programmed it to single out all of the containers contents then identify each item list in the manifest. The software would continue onto all of the components of a given piece of equipment, observing their condition, quality of construction and certification numbers. The final part of the algorithm would be a little more involved but was certain to get it done right and ahead of schedule. Tying into to a database subroutine, Rexar built the search pattern to correlate known replication standards of the individual units of every single thing here. Cross referencing this information with what was just scanned to then conclude whether the item was acceptable or required alterations. Adjusting for variables such as rare and exotic materials, unique equipment and the containers themselves he took a slow step back, a quiet breath in and peered up to the ceiling.
All or nothing
“Computer, use internal sensors to scan and download the program active on my tricorder listed, Rexar-Kappa-5. Expand to extrapolate for planetary conditions of Craxus 2 and commence audit.”
He then followed along to open the vessels, make physical observations, perform tertiary confirmation sweeps with the tricorder and recheck the database for logged entries of any failures to personally inspect them himself. All the while, in this moment where he had found himself in the place he’s always wanted to be, live and work. Rexar found his thoughts adrift a time or two on what he understood as impossible.
Something alive in there. It can’t be!

OOC: Impressive posts!
IC:The appropriate manifest that was part of the required equipment was not precisely at all settled in the same place in the Bay but were scattered all about. What the CPO had done was log the materials by their category rather than function, not knowing that there would be a requirement by function first. Rexar was able to zone into the appropriate ‘first needs’ materials, their container log and transporter code.
The materials fell very short of building a ‘dock’ but to repair it. It appeared from the inventory that the principle problem was the repulsors were failing.
((still no answer to ‘are we beaming down to fix the dock’ since there is no dock to land a shuttle on?))
OOC: Looks like shuttle them down and see what one can do from there. The challenge you know <G> .. gene
- WookieeOCC:
Thanks mate, you have sparked my curiosity and so I must abide. Great work if I might add.

As the computer affirmed its completion, Rexar gathered the transporter logs and container codes into a single file. Combining them to precipitate the ease with which to send each unit. He rounded up the toolkit and advanced towards the CPOs position in at a swift pace. Upon approach he spoke with authority.
“Chief. This file has all the necessary information for the transference of equipment from the cargo bay to the shuttle loading zone. Contact the transporter room, prepare to organize and supervise the operation from your end and relay this data to the shuttle crews so nothing is lost in transit. I’ll inform Lt.To’kar and get this approved.”
Handing her the P.A.D.D, Rexars’ eyes glazed over the classified cases for a brief period then shifted his stance to face the equipment in entirety. His gaze meandered through the maze of containers to ascertain that all was as he left it. Though in fact he was attempting to stay his enthralling curiosity by focusing on the minutiae of the task. He had not been successful. Snapping the futile exercise off, he turned back to face Bobbi, lifting his right hand just in front of himself and shook it onwards of the cargo as he spoke.
“Chief. You’ve been here with this shipment more that anyone else on board, is that fair? I’m sure you’ve heard it enough as it is but I’m compelled to ask. Did anything every…feel out place to you? An odd sensation or notion of disturbance? Besides the attacks of course.”
In his inquiry, Rexar discovered himself in a space of mind he was dreadfully uncomfortable with as he grasped at the unknowns before him to better wrestle a belief he couldn’t yet accept.

Ang heard her comm response and called out over the din in the bay. “OK FOLKS!” Once she had a bit more silence, she continued. “We are shuttling down. Transporters will mess with the things we are taking. So let’s set up priority. Necessary parts and tools for the landing dock are first. Can’t bring the rest till we have a place to put it.” She nodded to everyone and smiled. “Ok, let’s get it going.”
