After finishing both his other tasks, Barvan had to do one more thing, namely get the go-ahead from a doctor.

He headed over the sickbay and attempted to find a medical officer.

Cadet Barvan, Security

He was greeted by a green skinned woman who approached him as he entered Sickbay. Her hair was brown and wavy, hanging past her shoulders. She wore a white lab coat over her very tailored uniform.

“Can I help you Cadet?” The woman asked.

-Lt. Marlene Judas, CMO

“Yes ma’am! I’d like my boarding medical exam please!”

Cadet Barvan, Security

The woman pointed towards the examination area, where all of the biobeds were unoccupied.

“Take a seat on one of the beds and I will pull up your medical file,” Marlene said.

Barvan would comply, taking a seat on one of the beds she pointed to.

She followed him, retrieving a PaDD from a nearby counter.

“Are there any medical issues you’d like to make me aware of?” Marlene asked.

“None that I can think of right off the top of my head.”

Steve, respond to this.

“Very well, I will have one of our medical cadets see to you then,” Marlene said curtly, looking around for someone who was available.

-Lt. Marlene Judas, CMO

Buckingham had completed an errand and returned to Sick Bay to find Marlene looking around the room expectantly. He noticed she was stood with someone whom he assumed was new cadet aboard. So he approached the pair. Nodded politely at the new cadet and turned to the CMO.
“Is there anything I ca help with Ma’am?” He asked.

Thomas Buckingham - Medical

“Giving me a medical exam would help her greatly,” Barvan would say curtly.

Cadet Barvan, Security

For a moment Buckingham was taken aback by the impolite and blunt nature of the Cadet’s response, so much so that he though about directly addressing the issue with the Cadet, however he thought better of it because after all the Cadet was fairly new on-board and the last thing Tom wanted to do dress Barvan down in-front the entire sick bay.

“Very Well” Tom said, trying his best to sound as cheery as he could. Tom picked up the PADD that Lieutenant Judas had been using so he could pick up where she left off.
“So I see you have no pre-existing medical conditions that I ought to be concerned about” Tom said as he brought himself up to speed.

“So then, I’ll just perform a quick scan with the tricorder, to make sure that everything is as it should be, then we’ll have you on your way in no time.”
Tom removed his Medical Tricorder from his Lab Coat pocket and began moving it around Barvan’s body.

Cadet Barvan seemed to be in perfect health. Nothing major showed up on the tricorder scan.

IC: Tom stared at the Tricorder as he awaited the the readings to come through.

“My apologies Cadet, I never did ask your name” Though the Cadet’s Medical Records obviously had his name on, Tom preferred a more personal introduction. “I’m Thomas Buckingham, but most people call me Tom.” He said by way of introducing himself. Tom paused so the Cadet could introduce himself.

“Barvan. Of House Troi of Betazed. Rank Cadet.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Barvan” Buckingham said cheerily. He continued to stare at the Tricorder for a few moments longer before returning his gaze to the Cadet.
“Well, everything looks fine to me” Tom declared as he folded the Tricorder and returned it to his lab coat pocket, satisfied that there was no cause for concern with regard to Barvan’s Physical Health.
“Have you any other issues of any nature that you’d like to Discuss, Cadet?”

Thomas Buckingham - Medical

“While this is mostly of concern to the CNS, I do have some mental health issues. When I use my telepathic abilities too much and to strenuously, I’m prone to auditory hallucinations for some reason. Not principally your concern, but it should be mentioned. Starfleet has cleared my for duty by the way under the requirement of regular monitoring by a CNS.”
