Paron was just about to begin getting ready for the later celebrations when his commbadge chirped.

=/\=NE Worrisome to Lieutenant Paron, we just spotted something you might want to take a look at, sir. Might be nothing but there seems to be some sort of minor glitch in the computers. And we’ve discovered something… troublesome=/\=

Torias sighed. He thought his day was over, and then another call comes in. He still had time to spare at least to check it out and see if it was something to worry about. He made his way from his quarters to his office where NE Worrisome was waiting.

“Report,” Paron said with the more authoritative tone he had shown during the away mission. “The glitch we found sir, seems to have been something… created,” NE Worrisome told him while handing him a PaDD. Paron reviewed it and noticed some odd things. Firstly, that when the issue was close to being detected, it seemed to jump to another subsystem. It almost acted as if it knew it was being searched for.

“Well, that is indeed interesting, but I don’t think this will be a problem we can solve until we know what is causing it, if it is deliberate, and if so - who is responsible.” Paron commented as he looked over the PaDD. “Let’s start with trying to find out the problem, we’re going to need some help from the clever ones on this one,” he said with a slight smile.

=/\=Lieutenant Paron to Lieutenant K’Resh and Lieutenant Kanto, We’ve got a computer issue, seems like a glitch that’s responding to our actions, every time one of my cadets gets close, it changes the subsystem it’s affecting, making them have to start the tracking process over again. I’ll make my way to the computer core in Engineering, I’ll meet you there.=/\=

Torias went out to the office and watched the cadets working on it to see if he could notice anything they missed, and informed the computer to alert him to any patterns in the way the glitch was operating. He then headed out and made his way down to the computer core, where he waited for the scientist and the Engineer.

K’Resh had been in the middle of a meditation so was not in the best of moods when she received the summons. Stomping into the computer core she glared at Paron. “What have you done to my computer?” she asked gruffly, a slight look of disdain on her face.

Lt K’Resh (CE)

“Not me, this time Lieutenant,” Paron said, “My security officers spotted an odd glitch in the subsystems, seems to be slowing things down a bit, but any time we get close - it’s jumping to another system,” he said, showing him the PaDD which shows a glitch on the replicators which affected effenicy, but as security got closer to the source of the glitch, it moved into the temperature controls. This process has been repeated, though jumping to a different subsystem every time. “And I’ll be honest, it’s got me stumped. Any ideas?” Paron asked K’Resh

K’Resh groaned as she snatched the PaDD out of his hand. “Could be something shorting out the circuits…” she mumbled as she looked through the results for any anomalous readings. “When did this begin?” she asked, a little less gruff.

Lt K’Resh (CE)

“According to my team, they’ve noticed it not long after we exchanged cadets for the next ride out, so a few hours. It’s only just been brought to my attention by my department, as it seems to be acting out, and usually the engineers have already fixed it by the time it’s a concern. This one has hung around, though. It could be as simple as one of the new cadets playing a prank, or something more serious,” Torias responded to K’Resh. It had not long been brought to his attention. “I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time a cadet has tried something like this before,” he commented.
