______________________________________ BACKGROUND:

Ian was born in a small town in the Louisiana area of Earth. He grew up as an only child, where he joined the debate team at a young age and found his proficiency in language, history, and art at a young age. It was a shock to his parents he wished to join Starfleet when he graduated from high school, as he never seemed the military type. His skills though made him an excellent candidate as a Diplomatic Officer as well as a yeoman for Starfleet. He graduated top of his class and began serving directly under Admiral Peter Grands at Starbase 93.

Ian is known for sometimes thinking his the smartest person in the room, often making him arrogant and even a little cocky. This has curtailed his diplomatic career some, as fellow officers mistakenly think he can't take situations seriously. Despite this believe, Ian is very capable of separating self from missions and keep tasks on hand.

Despite these set backs, Ian shows tremendous skills in reading people and has a knack for having his Diplomacy not seen in fellow diplomats his age. He has abilities to understand and empathize people and has a large knowledge of species and cultures making him easy to adapt in most situations.
