Curriculum Vitae
Kiama was born in Betazeds capital, Rixx. The first nine years of her life were quiet and even though her mother was a well respected professor, the whole family never attended many social functions (much to her maternal grandmother’s dismay). But things were about to change drastically with occupation of Betazed by the Dominion. During the battle of Betazed her grandmother, Viavora Ataido, was one of many people who got killed. So it fell to her mother, Jeanoya Naïm, to take her mother’s place in the government. […]

While Kiama had always dreamed of joining Starfleet, she first obeyed her mother’s wishes and went to the university of Betazed instead. There she studied neuroscience and graduated with honours and also got a PhD in that field. She got an offer to continue working for the university, but after some deliberation, Kiama decided to follow her heart instead of letting her mother continue to decide what her career should or shouldn’t look like.

So at the age of 26 Kiama got accepted at Starfleet Academy and graduated four years later; again with honours.
