Character Biography

She grew up on the Caitian homeworld of Cait. She was very active and adventurous, however, she also was a complete nerd who would get lost in Fantasy stories, not just her own people’s fantasy but Earth Fantasy as well. This made her rather unpopular in school, Early on she developed the skill of being able to use her tail to manipulate objects. While this would help her when she also started taking an interest in mechanics and technology. It was also the source of a great deal of teasing. Despite being bullied she always did her best in school and paid very close attention to every lesson as she dreamed of joining Starfleet, as her Great Great Grandmother had done Serving on the USS Merrimack. Her interest in technology came when she visited the USS Apache, a Visigoth class Cruiser that had been turned into a museum ship. However, this interest in technology would also get her into a small spot of trouble, She invented an anti Bullying backpack for her school science fair. However she miss-calibrated the device, and it ended up seriously hurting one of the kids who was bullying her, It was clearly an accident, yet due to the political position and power of the bullies family. Miz’uki was almost expelled! Her teacher luckily came to her rescue sticking up for her and refusing to let Miz’uki take the fall While she was let off with a warning her parents thought it would be a better idea if she left the school anyway, she was home-schooled from that point on and despite all of that she was able to get into Star-fleet academy passing with flying colors!

At the academy on earth, she was known for being very bright and thorough when it came to safety. though this did not mean she was an all work and no play kind of girl, she pulled pranks and jokes as often as she could, she did of course keep it to appropriate times and targets. she avoided getting into major trouble after the whole Backpack incident. It was at the academy that she was able to learn more about her grandmother, who inspired her to join Star-fleet Turns out she had been an Engineer and had even developed the early version of the Ciatian greaves. which gave Ciatian officers the same protection that other humanoid races had from their boots(If not a bit more even) while being comfortable to wear, given the odd shape of the Caitian digitigrade legs. She also found she had an aptitude for piloting receiving top marks and becoming the captain of the Flight team.

After graduation, She was stationed on the USS Legend as an Engineering Officer. she worked her way through the department, she was known for tinkering about with different pieces of tech while off duty. almost as if she was planning some new invention. During this time she was in a slight transporter accident, During some routine maintenance on one of the Legends Transporters. the system glitched out and began Randomly transporting crew members and objects about the ship randomly. Luckily the locations were limited to inside the ship! However, now whenever Miz’uki goes on an away mission, she tends to do a very quick diagnostic, to make sure the transporters are at 100% before using them. At another point, she ended up Actually finding a strange artifact while on an away mission. It was an archaeology mission studying some ancient ruins. she had been trying to flee a very large predator native to the planet and tripped over it. It was an early portable computer for some long-dead race. While the device itself was to badly damaged to function ever again, some data was able to be recovered. The data was fragmented and was very limited in the information provided, however, her contribution was noted by the archaeology team and commended by her Captain! Making it one of her prouder moments.

A couple of years later, she was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and was offered the Chief Engineer position onboard the USS Ark Angel which she jumped at.

after many missions she was offered a post at the Jupiter ship yards as section lead being in charge of at least 5 Drydocks taking the offer she left the Ark Angel and found the work rewarding as she learned a lot about Ship Design following in her Great Great Grandmothers footsteps however eventually she grew bored and wanted to get back out in the field with a starship and so when the Chief Engineer post on the USS Memorial came open she put her bid in and was soon on her way
