Character Biography

Though he was born on Tellar, Ghev didn’t step foot on his homeworld until he was an adult. Instead, he spent his time moving from starship to starship with his father and mother. He was a navy brat, as they say, and spent most of his young life in some starship nursery or playroom or classroom. Ghev’s father was a high-ranking Starfleet officer who brought his family aboard every one of his starships in order to hold to the Tellar nuclear family ideals. Because of this, Ghev experienced proper nuclear family life, with a somewhat absent father and a hard-working, ever-present mother.

When his father was promoted to CO of his very own starship, the U.S.S. Reverence, Ghev was at first overjoyed. This joy quickly turned to dismay, though, as his father showed signs of stress and depression in the new role, signs he had not shown as an XO, an arguably more difficult position. As it turned out, his father was not cut out for the rigors a captain must endure, and they took on a toll on his mental health. Ghev’s father announced that, after his sixth voyage aboard the U.S.S. Reverence, he would retire to Tellar and continue his life as an ex-military civilian.

Ghev, who was the top of his class and later graduated valedictorian, was deeply hurt by the “lack of work-ethic” his father had shown, since he had been raised his entire life to put one-hundred percent into all endeavors, he felt his father had not done so. Though he did not actually state that he wanted to become a captain and prove to himself that its not hard enough to retire from, deep down that is his goal.

He entered Starfleet as soon as he was able and deftly rose through the ranks of the Academy. His grades were excellent and his work-ethic was unparalleled by most in his class. He led both a debate and a conflict resolution team, which led him to join the Security role in order to diplomatically resolve conflict among crew members and others.
