Appearance and first impressions
Issac Forgrave is a Caucasian Human male in his early 30’s. He generally wears a thick mustache with close-cropped hair and stubble; observation determines that head and face are clipped at the same time, typically weekly unless instructed otherwise. Approximate appearance shown here. He has an average build, leaning towards ‘sturdy.’ Typically, his face and eyes do more talking than his mouth. When he does speak, a low voice drawls quietly in a southern accent, revealing his southeastern United States origins.

Background / Early Life (In Personnel File)
Issac Forgrave applied and was accepted into StarFleet Academy in August of 2391. His stated goal was “To start a new life away from Earth.” This raised some concerns, and an in-depth background check was performed, along with further psychological testing. The background check found no serious concerns or overtly suspicious or out-of-character activity in the recent past.

–Parents: Mother - Alicia Hyland née Forgrave (Age 65); Father - John Forgrave (Died Feb 7 2391, Age 68)
–Location: Asheville, North Carolina, USA, Earth, Sol System
-Attended Mars Hill University; Majored in Technical Engineering with a focus on antique & historical manufacturing. Graduated Cum Laude in 2387.
-After graduating, worked at Forgrave’s Hand Tooled, an antique repair and restoration business owned by John Forgrave. Note: Hand Tooled appears to have had consistent tax records dating from founding in 2342 by Bill Forgrave to its liquidation in 2391 by Issac Forgrave.
-John Forgrave passed away in early 2391 from a brain aneurysm. Following this, Issac Forgrave took over the family business, and shortly started liquidating the owned assets, in an effort to cover existing debts related to the business.
-Issac has no public debts currently, and is listed as the owner of the former store; leasing out the property through a management company.
-His will on file has provisions for its sale upon his death and directions for the proceeds.
-Issac Forgrave received a citation for ‘Public Drunkenness’ on May 23rd, 2391. Charges were dropped upon agreement to community service.

Medical Profile (Restricted Access)
Upon admittance to Starfleet Academy, several minor issues were noted and corrected when possible.
-Above-average levels of lead accumulation; attributed to work with antiques and out-of-date manufacturing processes. (Heavy metals removed from body)
-Moderate hearing damage in right ear; attributed to an accident in Issac’s youth with explosives. (Ear drum repaired; hearing tested and confirmed within normal range)

Tattoos – Geartrain on left thigh and lower leg; 16-point compass on right calf; antique v-twin engine on left chest.
Overall, Issac Forgrave appears to be in excellent physical health. He makes efforts to keep up a high level of cardio activity, through a combination of calisthenics, boxing, and running.

Psychological Profile (Restricted Access)
Issac Forgrave does not present any serious psychological concerns, or at least none that are apparent at this time. After his father passed away, Issac admitted to falling into a severe depression; compounded by business-related legal issues and alcohol abuse. After an incident with law enforcement, Issac worked to “clean up and simplify [his] life.” He apparently quit drinking alcohol entirely, and continues to abstain to this day.
Issac takes pains to be extremely honest; both with others and himself – this can verge into being overly self-critical at times, and rude in other situations. He also tends towards dark humor; at times verging into inappropriateness or going beyond what is considered socially acceptable. This is tempered by Issac’s serious nature; as noted during his tenure within the Academy, he takes great pains whenever “on the clock” to communicate clearly and unambiguously.
It has been suggested to Issac that he make efforts to relax and unwind with fellow crew members; he seems to do well with having structured ‘social’ time. Left to his own devices, I fear that Issac may isolate himself, to the detriment of his mental health and effectiveness within Starfleet. As such, if Issac is placed on extended medical leave or similar, it may be wise to find some work or task that he can continue to focus on and stay busy with.
