McKenzie Curry III

Character Biography

McKenzie Curry III is the son of McKenzie Curry II, an ambassador to the United Federation of Planets and the grandson of McKenzie Curry I, the former planetary ruler of the class O world, Atalan of which McKenzie Curry III is a native. Like all of his fellows, McKenzie is amphibious, and equally at home on land and in the water. When he enters water, a tail forms around his leg and it is in this state that he sleeps and regains his abilities. If he doesn’t get to water for his rest cycle, he is slower and less visually acute than usual. Any source of water is fine, however water from his home planet is best. He can go three/four days at a stretch without the use of water, any more than that and he runs the risk of death, and after this period of time, his abilities are impaired until he returns to his usual ‘water bed’.

McKenzie has water in his quarters and water in his office on board the ship and during off duty times, he can be found there or in the holographic pools of Atalan program he has running on the holodecks.

He worked in the Science track through the academy, including a stint back home on Atalan when he was married to the ‘Atalan next door’, Mera. She was murdered along with their children and McKenzie has never remarried since then.

- Highly susceptible to poisons and fertaliser in the water.
- He will lose powers as he goes through withdrawal from water, but this does come back.

- Still haunted by the death of his family.
- Terrified of being unable to be in water.
