Character Biography

Mary is a Doctor within Starfleet. Most of her training has been in the area of General Practice, but she also took an interest in dermalogical diseases in her formative years as a Doctor. She has been posted to numerous Starfleet, Federation and Allied medical facilities, including posts on Starfleet vessels.

She was born and raised on Earth, in the Brisbane region of the former country of Australia. Her parents are Michael and Sarah. She has a twin sister, older than Mary by a few minutes by the name of Marcia. Marcia is also in Starfleet , but following the Scientist path, and an older brother, Alexander, who didn’t enter Starfleet, but instead entered a life of Academia and is currently on Oed V as one of the Civilian Heads of Department - in his case, Education and Culture.

She has had a number of relationships with partners of multiple genders and species, but has never found anyone she’d like to settle down with. She isn’t actively looking, but she isn’t actively not looking, either.

Mary is very close to her twin sister, and the pair of them regularly exachange subspace messages and less frequently face to face messages in ‘twin’, a language that only the two of them understand. Her older brother, Alexander still views his role as protecting Mary and Marcia, and while it is nice, she wishes he’d stop being so protective. She sees little of her parents, far less than she’d like, but at least it gets her away from her mother’s disapproving stares and comments. Her father was always a portly man who carried himself with quiet dignity who had taken to walking with a cane and a pronounced limp in recent decades. Mary always thought that any real relationship, particularly with a gentleman would need to at the very least remind her of him.
