Character Biography

Physical Description:

Robert has a full head of brown hair that always seems to be the perfect regulation length no matter the circumstances. Combined with almost exactly perfect posture, he seems to radiate unflappability… most of the time.

History:

Robert graduated Starfleet Academy in 2391, and was assigned to the engineering department on USS Goddard for that ship’s final deep space exploration cruise. In 2392, he was assigned to the engineering department of the USS Calypso, where he was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade a year later, and also became one of the ship’s Assistant Chief Engineers.

In 2394, an explosion sent an asteroid hurtling out of its normal orbit at relativistic speeds. The Calypso responded to this disaster, and Robert was one of several officers selected for an extremely dangerous rescue mission with the ship’s shuttlecraft. Although the mission was broadly successful, the Calypso’s shuttlecraft was damaged, and there were significant differences between the explanations provided by away team personnel with regard to how this happened. Robert was promoted to full Lieutenant in 2395 after this incident, but his application to be the Calypso’s Chief Engineer was denied.

In 2396, Robert applied for a transfer to any ship looking for a new Chief Engineer. He was eventually assigned to the USS Ogawa.

Medical History:

Robert is generally in good health, though this is largely a testament to how advanced 24th century medicine is. He suffered a minor back injury during the rescue mission in 2395, which only became obvious after returning to normal gravity on the Calypso. It was quickly mended afterwards, though evidence of it is still apparent when performing medical scans.
