Education: Raised as any normal child in the region her Irish ancestors came from. She went to school and scored above average without being genius. She had a penchant for the dirt, like her father, that drove her mother nuts. She was always collecting rocks, stones, and any other mineral she could get her hands on. Her room was littered more with things from outside, that from toy vendors.

After Secondary School, she considered following her father to the mines. But he saw more in her and recommended Star Fleet and a chance to dig on planets he’d never been to. She knew every stone and rock on Earth, she was wasted here. So she applied and was granted entrance.

She went into the Academy with her eyes on the stars. After graduation, she started at the bottom with helping to solidify colonies on other planets and study soil and mineral viability on other planets the Fleet wanted to mine. She served 10 more years before deciding that being told where to go and what to dig wasn’t for her. She retired and by the time she was 40, she was running a small mining colony on Alpha Centauri.

When her rotation came, she set out to work elsewhere. Packing her belongings, she boarded a transport and headed for wherever it was going. It landed her on OED V about 6 days shy of her 45th birthday. It was the furthest she had been and the idea of mining out here made her smile every time she glanced at the stars.
