Brigette is a twin and from an early age, her and her brother, Brawn, had a twinspeak that eluded even the best of the adults around them.

As they grew, Brigette “Bridie” became fascinated with codes, languages and puzzles.

That interest in languages didn’t transfer in the Academy well when she didn’t have the ear to recognize the differences. And her affinity for puzzles and codes led her teachers to nurture an affinity for engineering. Specifically specializing in warp coils and their efficiency.

She found a new hobby in warp speeds and how to better them and followed that till she graduated.

Once in the fleet, she used her curiosity and knowledge to help with efficiency on nearly every ship she was on. Even though more of that efficiency was on how the crew in engineering ran rather than speeding up the ship, itself, it gave her a sense of pride to work things out. She was sure if the crew got better, by effect, the ship would as well.

By the time she had her Dept Head training she had learned to lead without being cruel, and follow without being blindly led. She often questioned, and one of her failings, still, is sometimes speaking before thinking.

She never learned to swim, though loves the lake and simple bodies of water. The ocean completely terrifies her and she avoids them at all costs.
