Character Biography

Born in 2375, Kyle is a young man hailing from Yorkshire England. Most of his life, Kyle has lived around family who’ve worked in Starfleet. Most notably his grandfather, Captain Simon Anders was Captain of the U.S.S. Yoshiko from 2365 until the ship was decommissioned in 2392. During Simon’s stint as Captain, his son Timothy joined Starfleet Academy training as a security officer. Kyle gets a lot of his confidence from the elder Anders, however, it can slip away pretty easily under pressure. Kyle likes to think that he gets his personality from his mother, Emma, a bubbly, kind-hearted woman who, like her son, likes to help others in whatever way she can. When Kyle was 3 years of age, living onboard the U.S.S. Nightengale with his parents, their ship received a distress call from the Imanu Mining Colony in the Gamma Quadrant. As 2378 was the final year of the Dominion War, a lot of Starfleet ships were sent to deal with minor flare-ups in Jem’Hadar activity. While on a security recon mission, both of Kyle’s parents were part of a team that reported a group of colonists being held hostage by a group of Jem’Hadar that were not aware of the de-escalating tensions between the Khitomer Powers and The Dominion. While trying to play the hero, as per usual, Kyle’s Father became overwhelmed by a group of Jem’Hadar at the same time as trying to rescue a group of hostages. Timothy took two shots to the chest and died instantly. Since then, Kyle and his mother moved to San Francisco to allow Kyle to enlist in Starfleet Academy. Kyle is determined to live up to his father’s legacy and eventually, hopefully, receive his own command. Since graduating the Academy, Anders has served as a Security Officer aboard the USS Ogawa, where he is looking forward to getting his hands dirty.
