Background/Bio
T’les had a fairly typical Vulcan childhood, raised by both of her parents. Silvak was a Starfleet Officer and served in the Security branch of Operations. T’pra, her mother, was a musician and spent her time studying different cultures music, and exploring her musical horizons. Education was fairly standard, though T’les felt that it could have been more. She spent a lot of time getting scraped knees and covered in dirt as she followed her imagination and curiosity, something she wasn’t entirely allowed to do or encouraged to do in her training with the Vulcan education system.

Feeling stymied most of her youth, T’les opted to follow in her father’s footsteps. She followed her curiosity into Starfleet, and kept it alive. She dared to perhaps dream, even though she would never have painted her aspirations in such terms. While she was there, she turned to the pursuits of three dimensional chess, as well as finding a fondness for the game of Go. In both she proved capable and adaptable. By the time she graduated she was reigning class champion of both, and had been for some time. Her fellow cadets and even teachers suggested that she pursue a career in tactical and strategic operations. however, this did not interest her as she favored exploration. The most apt place to do that was within the Sciences division where she firmly remained. There she received a broad education in sciences, focusing on generalization and application rather than a tiny narrow specialization.

After her graduating cruise she was assigned to the U.S.S. Bridger. It was deployed on a diplomatic mission into Klingon space. The mission was diverted to assist a tramp freighter that had run afoul of pirates. T’les was selected to accompany the Away Team, as she was generlaly useful, and could handle herself in a number of situations. Here it proved to be fortuitous. They were moving into a cargo compartment near the ship’s engine section when one of hte safety systems gave way. A plasma fire erupted as high amounts of radiation began to leak into the compartment. Because of the interference they couldn’t simply be transported out. T’les, with some quick thinking retuned her tricorder, combadge, anda couple of other components and devices to create a force field that starved the plasma fire of oxygen. With the fire no longer blocking their way, they were able to escape the potentially fatal radiation and be transported back to the Bridger. Were it not for her quick thinking, several of the crew would have been fried by the fire, or fried by the rads leaking into the room.

After a brief recovery period, she has been reassigned to the U.S.S. Wolverine, as someone has noted her skills and thought she could be an asset to the ship in multiple ways. There is some discussion that she may be destined for a command of her own some day.
