Ben Wilkinson

Character Biography

Ben Wilkinson was born on Earth in the good old state of Texas, U.S. of A.. After graduating from high school, Ben applied for and was accepted to Star Fleet Academy. Always a good athlete and having studied several different martial arts from the age of five, he naturally gravitated toward the Security side of Star Fleet and graduated third in his class just recently and is currently waiting to report to his first command on board the USS Genesis as an Ensign in the Security department.

Ben has no living relatives as his parents and younger brother were killed while he was at the academy, in a shuttle explosive decompression accident while traveling to a nearby star cluster to observe and record a supposedly stable wormhole. He knows that his parents died doing what they loved to do, but misses his younger brother as they were very close. Unfortunately their deaths took place at entirely the wrong time. The Academy and classes took up nearly all his time, and with his martial arts practice and sessions, he has not had the opportunity to properly grieve their loss. He also depended a lot on his parents for their advice and mentoring and is deeply feeling that loss . He has some issues he is going to have to work out.

He is anxious to get on board and start what he hopes will be a rewarding career.

Ben is not overly tall, and is muscular but not bulky, the result of his martial arts training .
Hair - Reddish brown and slightly curly
Eyes - Green
Distinguishing Marks - Dragon tattoo on back of right forearm, names of parents and brother in small heart tattoo on upper left shoulder.
Favored Martial Art - Tae Kwon Do, but is also proficient in Kendo, Bo-Jutsu, and Escrima.
