Lina’s mother was a diplomat for the Orion Consulate on Earth. Her ability to control her pheromones was the reason she was picked for the Earth assignment. Groomed from a young age, her mother had been taught to curb her abilities which were natural and constant in the Orion women. Few were ever sent to Earth because it was thought their influence would hinder how the Federation acted to certain things. It took her mother many years to earn the trust to work on Earth.

Lina’s father was a mechanic in the Federation motor pool and had a background in security. Simple and easy, he is a gentle and kind man who sees the best in everyone and gives his trust freely till he is betrayed. Once betrayed, though, his temper and abilities to hold a grudge were well known. He is fiercely protective of those he considers his friends as well as anyone officially representing the Federation. His pride for that institution runs deep and hard in his veins.

Her mother and father met when the delegation was met with resistance while traveling some outer territories on Earth. Because of the sabotage of one of the vehicles, Brian was ordered to go with the rescue mission to retrieve the delegation and the vehicles. He was furious with his rage that someone would attack the Federation representatives and arrived on site in rare form. He was mad at everyone and everything, from those who had stopped the Representatives, to the vehicle that had stopped running because of being damaged. An’ria hovered just on the fringes as he ranted and raved and when he stopped to begin work on the vehicle, she had asked if she could stand near him to dissuade others from blaming her for the attack. He shrugged and said he didn’t care. Over the next hour, she had asked simple questions to engage him and when the repairs were finished, he ordered her into the vehicle with him. His reason was that if they already thought he was protecting her, why stop now.

By the end of the trip, he was calm and they were in love. She claims, to this day, that there was an Orion somewhere in Brian’s background because it’s the only reason to explain how she fell for the man so fast.

Lina was brought up to embrace both sides of her heritage, and was also taught, very young, to control her anger at those who assumed she was manipulating them. As a young adult, she was shunned because it was thought she made friends simply by ‘influencing’ them. She tends to be a bit harsher when dealing with men rather than women because she feels they’ll learn of her personal perceived weakness and exploit her inability to control them on a whim. She keeps herself in shape so she isn’t considered ‘soft’ and mostly keeps to herself. She strives to know the nuances of how things work, from Chain of Command to SOP in any given location/situation. This has served her well and earned her her promotion to JG within two years of her first duty station.

When it was discovered she had a knack for critical response and extreme reaction responses, she was recommended to the USS Atlantis as both a security officer and candidate for the new CRIT program being released on a couple ships in the Fleet. At 24, she is strong willed, strong minded, and not easily intimidated. She listens, responds, and follows orders above and beyond the range of duty and is quick to step up when shortcomings arise. From filling in on unmanned posts, to weapons and station cleaning.

Her strength is her drive, both physical and mental. She wants to show people that not all Orions are bad or manipulative and works at that daily. She is tolerant of all species and looks forward to meeting new ones in her time in space.
She fear is of small creepy crawlies like spiders and loses all control when they are on her.

Revna’s Psychological Report for Lt. j.g. Angelina Markeson, Security Department

Angelina Markeson is a bright, ambitious young officer. She has a steady head on her shoulders and is aware of how other percieve her and how that may change how she approaches situations. She is actively aware of place in maitaining the safety and security of her crew, ship, and the Federation. She has had limited experience. Her previous postings have been calm and lacking in an opportunity to grow and increase her breadth of knowledge. However this lack of experience, instead of making her complacent and overly sure of herself, has made her eager to learn more and seek out assignments that will improve her skills, not only as a member of the security team but also as a Star Fleet officer over all. Markeson has strong instincts and a very analytical mind, that can often create her to second guess herself. It is my professional opinion that Markeson is fit for duty and should be provided as much varied training opportunities as possible, as the more she is given and the wider the variety of experience the greater her skills and performance will become. “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn-Benjamin Franklin”
