Physical Characteristics:
Tyrran’s features are a blend of Human and Vulcan characteristics. Like all members of the Vulcan race, his slim and wiry physique belies his immense physical strength. His expressive brown eyes are framed by the characteristic arched and upswept eyebrows. The points of his ears are softer than in full-blooded Vulcans, and his straight black hair is cut short. His skin has a slight olive tinge, and his body temperature is slightly lower than that of a typical Human. Despite this he frequently complains that his hands feel cold and it is not unusual to see him wearing gloves.

Psychological Profile:
Despite his outwardly Vulcan appearance, Tyrran has not fully accepted the Vulcan way of life. He has studied the meditative techniques and mental disciplines that all Vulcans use to suppress and control their emotions, but has not met with the same success. As a result his cold logic is frequently shattered by a warm smile, or even a hearty laugh. The strength of his emotions often overwhelms even himself, which is why he struggles to control them.

Tyrran’s mastery of the Vulcan psionic disciplines is rudimentary at best. While he has demonstrated possession of touch-telepathy, he reports that his own mind is often too “noisy” for him to make proper contact with others. He has successfully performed mind-melds with other telepaths, but his abilities in such encounters are markedly less than other Vulcans.

Medical History:
Tyrran is a classic human/vulcan hybrid. Physiologically he is more vulcanian, though his blood is dominated by human factors. He suffers from microcytic hypochromic anaemia (α-thalassaemia trait) caused by the loss of the HBA1 and HBA2 alleles on chromosome 16p13.3. This is a hereditary condition from his paternal bloodline.
