As a medical professional and a Vulcan, T’Saie conveys a confident and positive yet modest posture dictated by logic and some influential degree of compassion. This is easily reflected in her work as she takes some small amount of fulfilment and pride in helping those in need. She spent her life in Vulcan until she reached the age of 22 where she went to Starfleet Medical Academy to complete a degree in Nursing.

Raised in Vulcana Regar on Vulcan by her father Sarrin, a Civil Architect and her mother T’Liruth, a Xenologic Psychologist, T’Saie was afforded the appropriate education at the Vulcan Learning Centre. Unlike human parents, Vulcan parents tend not to get involved with a Vulcan child’s life choices and let them form their own lives and personalities, therefore T’Saie grew up in her own right and formed an objective of wanting to assist people through her experiences of growing up herself. As she grew up her empathy and interpersonal skills became noticeable and she was informed by her academic tutors that a medical pathway may be an beneficial and logical career choice.

Once her studies at the Vulcan Learning Centre were complete she went to the Vulcan Science Academy where she spent the next 4 years enrolled on several advanced medical modules starting at the age of 18. As she continued to progress she began her research in “Radiologic Micropathology,” an important subject that would normally be delegated to experienced medical professionals however T’Saie liked a challenge and began researching the subject. As time went on she was actively encouraged to sign up for the Vulcan Expeditionary Group to become a Medical Professional however she felt it would be more prudent to attend Starfleet Medical Academy where she felt she could be more useful and would have more opportunities to complete her research to greater effect.

In 2393, she joined the Starfleet Medical Academy to train as a Nurse. This was a conscious decision as she, unlike most Vulcans, aimed to spend more time around people compared to doctors due to her prevalent but well subdued empathy. She felt she could reach more people, especially as her training on Vulcan would grant her almost the same career as a doctor under the guise of being a ‘Nurse Practitioner,’ allowing her to diagnose and dispense treatment. On-top of this, T’Saie specialises in ‘First Aid Response’ and ‘Pharmacotherapy,’ both key topics to treating patients in an emergency.

T’Saie graduated from Starfleet Medical Academy in 2397, from there she was assigned as the Chief Medical Officer of USS Challenger, to help train new Cadets within the medical field. This was a highly unusual posting for a nurse however but one she gladly accepted, at least for the experience she would gain from it.
