Biographical summary:
Born on stardate 80081.2, in Bilbao, Spain, Earth (Med File #S3EB-82-12081033). Ander was the second child in a family of three born to parents Julen and Kistiñe Garay.

Ander graduated from STARFLEET ACADEMY stardate 02062.8. He was assigned as a Midshipman to the USS PAARDEBERG for one-year to complete his cadet cruise. During that time he received advanced training in environmental suit and zero-g operations.

On completion of his cadet cruise, Ander was promoted to Ensign and assigned to the USS ALEXANDER DUNN for five-years. He served as a junior engineer, receiving certification as a specialist in warp systems technology. He cross-trained as a combat engineer with the ship’s marines, completing advanced training in deflector shield technology and small unit tactics. During the Choran Crisis, Ander was deployed in support of operations and received a citation for his actions under fire. He was promoted to Lieutenant (junior grade), and completed his tour-of-duty.

Ander was next assigned to STARBASE 6, where he would serve for the next three-years as a junior operations officer. He completing training in advanced warp systems technology at the Phardos Shipyard and the Delphi Proving Ground. Ander assisted with disaster relief efforts at the Tethys colony. This included the evacuation of the colony and its reconstruction on Tethys II.

His consistent efforts earned him a promotion to Lieutenant, and he was assigned to STARFLEET ACADEMY as an instructor. His duties there saw him posted to the USS ENDEAVOUR as her Chief Engineer for two cadet cruises.

Ander’s performance as an instructor and mentor at the Academy saw him promoted to Lieutenant Commander, and assigned to the USS THOR as first officer.

On completion of his tour of duty he was posted to the UTOPIA PLANITIA SHIPYARD where he oversaw the construction and refitting of numerous vessels.

His attention to detail and dedication to his duty saw him transferred to PHARDOS SHIPYARDS where he worked on the ENHANCED DETERRENCE FRIGATE PROJECT and the AVENGER MARK 2 PROJECT.

Ander has been reassigned to the USS CURIE to serve as her Chief Engineer.

Physical characteristics:
Ander is 173 cm tall, and weighs 66 kg. He is lightly built with broad shoulders, and delicate looking hands and feet. He has medium brown eyes with a high straight forehead, and a prominent aqualine nose. He has short cropped dark brown hair with grey highlights, and is usually clean shaven. He maintains his lithe physique through a strict training regimen, including martial arts and Basque Pelota. While not the strongest, Ander can move very quickly.
