SPECIAL NOTICE: If you want to have Tello overcome by an emotion your character experiences, just let me know. I can throw her into any thread and ANY emotion is alright. I would enjoy someone taking me up on the offer :) Think of it as a chance to do some character development.

Tello was raised on Betazed, by her father, Aagrus. Her mother, a human, suffered from mental health issues after Tello’s birth and took her own life when the child was two years old. The usual telepathy/empathy of the Betazoid people did not follow the normal pattern for Tello Anaar. It is thought her mixed heritage had something to do with it. She is not totally without the abilities, but she doesn’t seem to have much control over them. During the years of puberty when the abilities began to develop in her, she would suddenly be overwhelmed with feelings that originated outside of herself. Sometimes she was able to identify their origin, but other times, there were too many people around for her to pinpoint who was feeling them.

Aagrus has lived on Betazed his entire life, but does travel for his work. He is a buyer for one of the most well known designing partnerships there, the House of Mukat. That is how he met Mira Thompson, Tello’s mother. During a visit to Earth, he met Mira at a fashion show and there was an immediate connection. They were inseparable during his time there and he proposed on a whim as he was getting ready to board the ship that would return him back to his home. Mira agreed, leaving everything behind and joining him on the journey with only the clothes on her back.

Once back on Betazed, they were married as soon as possible and the pregnancy happened shortly afterward.

Raising Tello on his own, Aagrus gave her every advantage he could. When she showed an interest in medicine, he encouraged her to chase her muse. She began taking courses and volunteering at a local hospital. Several months later, it just wasn’t enough and she approached her father to see if he would allow her to apply for Starfleet Academy. He gave his blessing and Tello left within the month.

She completed her training as a medical doctor and served aboard three different ships before the command bug got hold of her. When it did, she took command classes when she was off duty—long distance learning—and completed them with a high score. This is her second posting as an executive officer.
