Character Biography

Physical Appearance:

Tall and fit with praline colored skin, V’alura has dark blue eyes, neck-length, curly auburn hair and the pointed ears of a Vulcan. Oval of face, with strong cheek bones, she has wide, bow-shaped lips and thin, up-swept eyebrows. While on-duty V’alura favors light, natural make-up to accentuate her eyes and cheek-bones. Off-duty she goes all out with bold glamour looks. Also off-duty she cycles through various fashionable outfits with a preference for shorts, asymmetrical cuts.

Complete History:

V’alura Belmont, born in Sheridan, Wyoming (Soll III), began her education in the performing arts during childhood. She was enrolled in acting classes to learn emotional control alongside her lessons in Vulcan meditation techniques. Her professional acting career began at age 14 with minor roles in theater performances. Outside of acting, she appeared in rodeo tournaments as a barrel racer. At age 18 she was accepted into The Julliard School in New York City where she double majored in drama and dance. Her final performance at Julliard was for the role of Christine Daaé in Phantom of the Opera.

Post graduation, V’alura’s acting career was defined by several major roles in the romance genre. This lead to her typecasting as the “pretty love interest”. She would not break free from the romance genre until her outstanding performance in the horror film Last Summer At Crimson Lake. Though her character died half-way through the film, she showcased a powerful and varied acting performance. By age 30 she achieved stardom and became a big and well-known name in the industry. Throughout her career V’alura would be nominated for over a dozen awards, and seven total wins.

During the bulk of her acting career she attended UC, Berkeley through remote classes and would earn her Masters of Science in Artificial Intelligence and her Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering. V’alura would say in interviews that she was dedicated to her acting career for the foreseeable future, and that she earned her degrees because she was interested in computers and science.

V’alura’s last major acting role was for the holo-series Endless Black, a starship drama with themes of romance and mystery. She played the role of Lieutenant T’sari, a Vulcan science officer serving aboard the ship. During it’s initial four season run Endless Black won nine awards for acting, writing and cinematography with four of those awards for it’s fourth season alone. Due to it’s huge popularity, it was renewed for an additional three seasons. These seasons would not live up to audience expectations, and were noticeably weaker in both writing and acting performances.

After the conclusion of Endless Black, V’alura announced her break from acting and vanished from the public eye. She would reappear seven months later to announce the end of her acting career. She enlisted in Starfleet Academy shortly after this announcement. At the Academy V’alura specialized in the sciences and expanded her current degrees while picking up a third.

Moderate allergy to nutmeg. No history of bone fractures or serious illness. Patient is up to date on all vaccines and immune boosters.

Classified - Approved Medical Authorization Only Previous addiction to the drug Red Sand. Addiction Onset: 2387. Duration: 3 Sol years. Patient underwent six months of rehab at N. California Medical. Treatment revealed a side effect of the drug in psi positive species. When under intense stress, the patient’s mind will mimic the psychological effects of the drug, which in turn triggers the drug’s withdrawal symptoms in the body. Treatment: Hypo of synthetic chemical compound to mimic the physical effects of Red Sand.
