Patrick 'Paddy' McMillan

Character Biography

After spending four years training with a BSC and Masters degree in Psychology, 26 year old Patrick McMillian developed a particular interest in space travel. When he was young, McMillan had often watched holographic broadcasts reporting on the missions of Federation starships such as the Enterprise and Defiant. These broadcasts were what initially inspired the young man to look into enlisting to Starfleet once he was 21 years of age. However, after his father, a decorated Security Officer, came home expressing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to an encounter on a Borg cube, McMillan found himself doing research into his father’s condition, to the point where he found himself offering free of charge counselling sessions to members of his family as well as some of his school friends. With this knowledge in his hands, Patrick decided to take up a degree in Psych before moving onto Starfleet Academy. Following his successful graduation, McMillian applied for the Academy and was offered a training cruise position on the USS Wilson as Counsellor. Paddy’s CO noted that the Irishman’s personality seemed to help greatly when it came to easing the minds of his fellow officers.
