Personality

Shedda is extremely bright. She excelled at school, with a fascination about other cultures. She grew up on the stories her father told her about why he took her and left Orion. She tends to compare all cultures she encounters with what she sees, as the depravity of Orion culture. Her culture being matriarchal, Shedda is determined to prove that Orion women can lead without using their bodies as a bargaining chip in order to do so.

Shedda tends to be very serious off duty, but more relaxed and easier to get along with on duty. She is not unfriendly, just serious. She gives her all and total focus on whatever she is doing. This is more aimed at herself. On duty she’s very supportive of others and helps them learn and do their best. But she’s a hard judge of herself.

Shedda avoids any hobby that appears to be typically associated with the sensual skills of Orion females.

Medical:

Copper based blood. Being Orion she needs UV light for energy that is processed by the chlorophyll in her blood. She uses stimulants when needed for longer shifts due to the Orion sleep cycles being much shorter than other humanoids. Shedda, like all Orion women emit strong pheromones, her mother’s blood line gives her the ability to control her pheromone production, a skill her father insisted she learn. Despite her control she has always chosen, when able, to use a pheromone suppressant.

Shedda grew up on a colony world where her father became a farmer, giving up the life he had known for something more honest. She grew up healthy, spending most of her time outside and in different athletic activities. Her childhood was dotted with mostly minor injuries indicative of an active, adventurous, and curious child.

Back Story:

Shedda was born on Orion. Her mother was a syndicate head and very successful. But Melul wasn’t content with the life he was forced to live. He’d made his way up from a gladiator to work for Layshu. Melul was forced to ‘sell’ Layshu into slavery for the benefit of their syndicate as she prepared to take her place as the next syndicate leader. He cared for Layshu but when he discovered she was pregnant with his child everything changed. He discovered that while he cared for Layshu he didn’t love her enough to stay. Layshu suffered complications after Shedda’s birth and in typical Orion fashion had already arranged for Shedda to be raised by a caretaker. Melul wanted to raise their daughter together, and Melul argued at length with Layshu about it during her pregnancy. Melul took advantage of Layshu’s health and took Shedda and left Orion to raise his daughter himself.

Shedda entered the academy two years early. Having studied hard, she applied for every entrance exam within traveling distance. Shedda passed and was accepted into the Academy on her second try.

Shedda’s greatest archeological success was the Temple Ruins in Carcoln Gap on Thoveiturn. She spent a month trying to figure out the Slioskiolt. Once aligned and struck correctly the sound continues until one of the Slioskiolt is moved. The harmony and vibration is the most serene sound…in fact a feeling she had ever experienced. She sat there for hours, just listening.
