She is sharper than your average captain, having to develop wit and knowledge to compete for what was traditionally a man’s position in Star Fleet.

Strategic, focused, real, understanding, Determined to get out there and accomplish goals, Strong leader, she is proactive and not reactive. She also is relatable.

Personal Information

She worked security in Vegas after school, monitoring video feeds and maintaining the security system. Vegas was big on crime and Shirley is all about justice and preventing crime. Josh Gruver was a big name in private security and noticed her predilection for standing up to others and being sympathetic to women wanting to do such a thing. He offered Shirley a part time job after school to show her the basics.

She had a sprained ankle as a result of fitness training a few times. Dislocated shoulder. Phaser injury. Nutritionally healthy, sees medical regularly and follows a strict diet.

Service History:

Her knack for languages helped her candidacy to go on a 5 year mission in deep space exploration and first contact. She trained with Commodore Jason Gregory at the Academy. He took an interest in her and saw that she trained and studied longer, harder, and had more dedication than most of the men that were in her class. Commodore Gregory decided to take her as a mentee to help her achieve her goals.
