Mown Gworl

Character Biography

Born on the planet Ferasa and raised as an orphan, Mown Gworl grew up close to the streets in the capital city, where he knew learned two things: how to fight and how to play the Ferasan drums.

Ever since he could remember, it was just him and his drum–similar to a djembe from Mali in West Africa but smaller, and made of a scratched up black wood and fitted with some sort of durable gray drumskin.

Mown ended up graduating from school with high marks, and after being mentored by a Ferengi businessman, Norb, he went to boarding school on the arts planet Riviera where he developed an interest in war games, Catian martial arts, and farming RPGs.

Norb wanted him to be an enforcer for his business empire, but settled with pointing Mown toward the Federation as a way to channel his love of explodey things and sense of justice into something with a purpose (and to get an in with Starfleet Security).

From the Academy, Mown worked Security on Deep Space 6, then was briefly a security JO on the Mythology-class USS Sasquatch before being transferred to his current position as CTO on the Leviathan.

Appearance: 5‘4, lithe but muscular orange Catian with a gold hoop in one ear and a gold ball in one nostril. His “hair” is dyed bright teal in a mohawk, an affectation from his musician days.

Relationships:

Norb and family, an extended family of Ferengi department store owners. Norb sort of adopted Mown from Feresa and set him up in school.
